Chattahoochee Technical College ASN Fall 2016

Published

My name is Jamie. I attended the first application session today at Chattahoochee Tech for the Fall 2016 program. I've enjoyed following the last two groups of prospective students on these boards and thought I would see if I could get one started for the 2016 applicants. I'd love to get to know other prospectives and share the emotional rollercoaster that hopefully ends on a high!! :)

Hi Jamie!! My name is Lindsey ! I am attending my application session Thursday :)

Specializes in 1 Year nursing clinicals.

Hi Jamie,

im applying for fall as well. I went to the session today. It was too packed I'm going in April. So, how many applicants will they choose? Was your session packed too? I just learned it's not accredited and I guess the downfall it will be difficult to transfer if wanting to get a BSN. Have you taken the tease yet? I took it awhile ago, but I plan on retaking

I was reading past posts from former chatt tech nursing students and they have said they interview about 70 people and between 35-45 will get in will about 500 applicants this year. They said yesterday that getting a bsn wouldnt be hard and that there are many schools that will offer you a bridge program for a BSN. They should be accredited in August though. If you are retaking the TEAS, I would go ahead and schedule because almost all of April is booked and they have to be in by May 11 :)

Oh wow. Hi Lindsay and Lildee! I just assumed I would get an email if someone commented. I didn't. Oops! I'm glad I decided to check. Currently they are unaccredited, but they have jumped through all the hoops (so to speak) to become accredited. Unless something unexpected happens they should be by the time we would start. They have not been denied accreditation previously, but are just a relatively new school and it takes quite some time to become accredited. Their site visit was in February. The session I attended was packed too. They said there will potentially be 90-100 interviews with 40-50 students selected (depends on how many clinical spots are available). There could be 500-600 applicants.

I think I repeated most of what Lindsay said in her second comment. So sorry! I got excited and didn't read that one. Let's keep this going. Have a great night ladies. ~Jamie

Yay!! :) I'm glad you checked too!! If you bookmark the post it should email you every time someone replies! Have you taken your teas yet?

Thanks. I was able to fix it in settings. I did take it. I did pretty well, but am taking it again on 4/15 just to see if I can improve. How about you?

I'll be taking it on 4/15 at Marietta also! I actually haven't taken it yet. This will be the only time I take it. I had planned on taking it at the beginning of March but all the dates were full. Good luck!!

You too! It really isn't so bad. It covers a lot of very basic skills/information. The problem is I'm a couple weeks shy of 40 so it has been MANY years since I have studied things like earth science... I'm going to review a study guide and hope it helps.

Hi All! I'm Kelly and another ASN hopeful for Fall 2016 admission to the program. Taking the TEAS for the first time tomorrow and then again in April! Praying, praying, praying!!! I am going to application session on 4/14. Best of luck to everyone applying!

Welcome, Kelly! Good luck tomorrow!! I'll be praying for you too. :) Are you, by chance, taking the 4/15 TEAS on the Marietta campus?
