I'm new to this board and just recently got an email to attend an interview for the clinical nurse leader - entry level masters of nursing next week at Charles drew university. I was wondering if anyone else has gotten an interview? I would like to talk to some of you interested in attending this program. I visited the campus and spoke to some faculty, it seems like an amazing place. Look forward to talking to some of you in the same boat as I am in.
I barely have my interview on August 1 :-/ when do you guys think I will hear an admissions decision? Also, does anyone know what the schedule will be like? I'm trying to see if I can work a morning job if I get in. Thanks!

Piglet24, I would think they would let you know by the end of the first week of August. They would have to give you time to get things in order...job, family, finances, etc. I asked about the schedule in my interview and was told we would have classes Monday thru Thursday, pretty much 9-5 or some variation of a 8 hour day.
It did, and luckily I printed out the paypal receipt and emailed that to the admin assistant, as well as a copy of my GRE report that said they sent it to them. Did your online application never show up either? What did you have to hand deliver? I don't mind feeling out another application in person or hand delivering official transcripts, just don't want to pay another $100!
When I tried to submit my personal statement/cv it never took me to the PayPal screen, but other times I applied without those docs it took me to the PayPal screen. So I called in a few days later to ask if they received my application and payment and they said yes, but I handed in everything else (letters of rec/statement/CV) just to be sure. Transcripts were sent in from my schools & GRE scores were sent from ETS.
If you have proof of payment then you're good and shouldn't too much worry about having to pay again. Just try to contact one of the administrators or ask the assistant if you can email it or bring it in. Are you applying for Spring '12 or Fall '11. If it's Spring it could be that they haven't got to it yet.

Thanks for your response, hardworkpaysoff! It makes me feel a little bit better knowing other people had a few problems, could be a glitch in their system. I'll definitely hand in the letters of rec, statement and resume in person but I had my transcripts and GRE scores sent in and so far they don't have them. But maybe they'll turn up soon, it's only been about 2 weeks. I'm applying for Spring '12, definitely my first choice school. Congrats on getting in for Fall! you must be so excited!
Thanks and no problem. It sounds like you are focused & on the right track to getting accepted (the earlier, the better). It took my GRE scores about 3 weeks to be received there.
Hey everyone that's been accepted to CDU for Fall2011, I was looking through other programs threads and a lot of them are creating a private facebook group for their cohort. They use this to meet each other, set up study groups, give each other tips, etc. I feel like this is such a good ideal for us that are going to attend drew. Let me know if you are down so we can all get to know each other before class actually starts and before we have no lives haha.

Hey guys! I'm still waiting for an admissions decision :-/ do a lot of people get rejected? I got a C in Anatomy and the rest of my grades are fine. As and Bs. Anyone have any advice? I wish I knew if I was accepted or rejected already.
