2011 Charles drew university Clinical nurse leader EL-MSN

Published

Hello,

I'm new to this board and just recently got an email to attend an interview for the clinical nurse leader - entry level masters of nursing next week at Charles drew university. I was wondering if anyone else has gotten an interview? I would like to talk to some of you interested in attending this program. I visited the campus and spoke to some faculty, it seems like an amazing place. Look forward to talking to some of you in the same boat as I am in.

Sincerely,

Ms1988

Hey MS1988

One email was to notify me that the 100 bucks was received. Attached was the orientation schedule.

The other email had the health forms that I needed filled out from my physical,

I got another email but neglected to read it as of yet

The latest email had the orientation agenda, the fall schedule, how to register for classes and how to create an account. We have to create the account before orientation in order to get our IDs that day. They might have sent it to the wrong email because it was one of those mass emails.

I didn't get the third email. When was that sent?

The only emails I received were about the health forms and our class schedule. I didn't receive any emails regarding class registration and orientation schedule. Please inform me

I received it around 4:30 yesterday evening. There's an attachment that has your school id number and account activation & registration instructions. The other attachment has the outline of orientation (it's all day, but lunch is provided).

Yeah I definitely did not receive that one. Who was it from, so maybe can email them and ask

Ms 1988,

This site doesn't let you put names or links so I can't put the name, but it looks like she just sent out another one a few minutes ago with the orientation agenda and said she's sending out the registration one to each individual student shortly. Did you get that one? If that doesn't arrive, I can PM you the name or you can call and ask how you go about registering. It could be they misspelled your email or sent it to the wrong person.

Does anyone know when we have to have our physical, titers, and all that other health stuff done by? I didn't see a date on the email.

I was wondering the same thing. I'm guessing we need them for clinicals, but our clinicals start near the end of September. I'm trying to have everything checked off by orientation or at least the first day of school.

But then again I think they do realize that it takes time to set up appointments sometimes and also the titers and blood work can take over a week to come back. They also make a 2-step TB test (that I just rembered about today when I was getting my first one read) that takes about 2 wks b/c you have to wait a week between the 1st & 2nd one. It's a bit much, but I can't recall them giving us a deadline either..so I guess just asap.

The health forms said that we wouldn't be able to register for classes if the physical is not done before the 29th.. I couldn't get one scheduled soon enough with my regular doctor so I just went to a local clinic and luckily got it scheduled three days later. FYI the physical entails having you do blood work and urine analysis.

I went ahead and registered for classes today after receiving the email today with the registration information. I have my physical tomorrow. Last week, I did my BLS training. So, I hope to have everything done by the 29th. I can't believe school is in a few weeks.

Just wondering if you've verified with CDU that we start clinicals end of September?

Trying to enjoy as much freedom as I can til school starts :lol2:
