Congrats on your A, Olivia!! That rocks. Health Assessment wasn't a bad class. You know, I have to say -- with each Chamberlain class, I start off going, "Whine whine, blech," and then I end up learning a lot and enjoying the class. LOL. The capstone is going well for me so far!

I know what you mean Lunah, lol. Right now trying to decide of I should take two classes in the summer, that way I could finish up in December...Just not sure if I can handle two classes. Tried once before and dropped one after the first week.
The classes would be collaborative healthcare and evidence based practice.

I did collaborative and evidenced based practice together and they were totally doable. It looks like a lot of work but they were really all smallish assignments. I would usually bang out the collaborative assignment on Saturday afternoon and do the evidenced based one on Sunday afternoon. There were 3 quizzes in the evidence class too, but overall they were not bad.

That is good to hear. Also considering my financial aid options as well. Thanks for the heads up!

Hello! My name is Jaime and I graduate next Friday from KSU with my ADN. I am looking to start Chamberlain in August. I have two small children and will have to get a full-time job (if I can find one!) or my husband will shoot me I really want to get started on my BSN because I am still eligible for some financial aide since they used last years income. I want to take at least two classes every 8 weeks and am wondering if those of you who have taken classes think this will be doable with my situation. I see the theme is that there a lot of writing assignments (which I am not liking) but I am pretty sure that is with any school. KSU online was cheaper per credit hour, but I think it will be more expensive in the long run. Their classes run on a carousel, so if I need it and it's not available, I'm screwed. I am very greatful for this thread!! Also, I talked to Christy for like, an hour, and she is amazing!! very helpful and pleasant.

    Hi Jaime,

Yes, I think 2 classes every 8 weeks is doable, working or not. You just need to be able to manage your time. I found the most time consuming classes were the non-nursing classes, stats, algebra, economics and cultural diversity...the nursing classes were far easier for me in terms of time investment/family responsibilities etc. Good luck! I have really liked Chamberlain and the time flies by!

Well, it seems the only option I have to finish in December is to take Economics with the Capstone course. Anybody think this is doable or shoulld I just extend to February?

Capstone hasn't been terrible so far! Kind of a synthesis of research/paper writing. Econ did take quite a bit of my time and I took it by itself, but that's because I'm totally OCD and wanted to maintain my 4.0.

I won't need an A in either class, but do you think Bs in each class are possible together? Statistics kicked my butt alone...just want to stay above 3.0.

    Seems do-able to me!

I think you can clep economics, when I talked to Chamberlain counselours, they said that macro or microeconomic clep was acceptable.

Isn't the capstone one big project? I wasn't too worried about taking it with Econ next session but maybe I should be.
