Since I took this session off I'm taking 2 classes Spring B, 3 classes Summer A and 2 Summer B. I will graduate October if all goes well.

Now I'm a little worried about the Economics class. ;-\

I'm starting Cultural Diversity (again) this next session. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My advice would be stick with one of the topics they offer for your final paper... otherwise you may get tangled up in trying to find good arguments and spending a lot more time than needed. Otherwise it was not a bad class.

I had to do two papers, a PowerPoint, and an experiential learning project when I did NR442 (in addition to the weekly discussions, of course). The two papers were epidemiology part 1 (Week 3) and part 2 (Week 4) -- part 1 was examining a public health problem, part 2 was examining an agency that deals with whatever issue you described in part 1. The PowerPoint (due in Week 6) was an intervention and evaluation of a public health issue in the local area. The syllabus described that as a "paper," but our assignment ended up being a PowerPoint -- mine was about 20 slides. The experiential learning project was interesting -- it's due in Week 7, and you have to select and visit four public health agencies in your area and interview a staff nurse. A template is provided with questions. I interviewed a school nurse, a SANE nurse, a free clinic nurse, and a parish nurse. I really liked this class, overall.

This looks like it would be best to take alone

I started taking Cultural Diversity this session and dropped it. Decided to take the session off. I dislike the online books, also. I end up buying a used copy from somewhere. I hope the next 3 sessions go by fast.

ex navy girl,

cultural diversity wasn't too bad, my big paper at the end interested me a lot more than I thought it would. The instructor had a few kwirky "projects" but overall it was not a bad class ... it does have to potential to become heated. The worst part was the online book - I hate those things give me a physical book any day.

The book I have for econ is online and I find it impossible to read - so that resource is not of much help to me...

Great advice. Thanks.

Well I just said goodbye to my 4.0 thanks to my brain rejecting the last half of the statistics class..... :( I was hoping I could do it.

I am starting my first semester at Chamberlain on Monday. Just accessed my first two classes, Transitions and Cultural Diversity..........wondering what I got myself into:eek:. Any advice would be appreciated. Transitions doesn't look too bad, but Cultural Diversity does. Helpful hints from people who have taken these courses would be much appreciated :D. Thanks in advance.

P.S. I am an RN now, guess I need to change my info.

I will start Chamberlain on April 26 and getting a little nervous. Am just wondering how hard is this class. Are their a lot of papers??

I'm sorry :(. I'm waiting on my economics grade, I needed a 71 on the final to hold onto my A, I'll find out on the 29th if I got it or not. I'm hoping I did. It was a tough class.

Econ finished my 4.0 also. I ended up with a B, just missed the A by about 1/2 point. The final was easier than the midterm. Statistics was no picnic either. Don't know how I managed to even pass.

Tomorrow I'm starting Cultural Diversity (again) and Collaborative Health. Is the textbook for Collaborative Health necessary? I haven't ordered it, yet. Procrastination is my specialty. :D
