Hello everyone I am currently taking pre-reqs at STLCC and was thinking of going to Chamberlain. Has anyone gone there or currently going there and would like to share their experience? They have helped me a lot by letting me know which classes I can take that will transfer over. I know it's expensive, but I figured by the time I go I wont be paying that much since I would have majority of my pre reqs done. Thanks :)

Hey! I'm taking my pre-req's at STLCC also! I just put my name on the list about a month ago for Forest Park and Meramec. I also applied to a community college south where I live and that's on a point system and I won't find out until next year! I think I'm 385 on the waitlist at meramec. I haven't received a letter from Forest park yet. Have you taken A&P yet?

I took most my pre-req's at SCC and then transferred to Maryville. I have a friend that is going to Chamberlain and seems to like it. I can't speak for the program myself but I know she is doing well. Personally I like Maryville but I don't think there is anything wrong with Chamberlain. :)
The wait list is so long that's why I decided to transfer out....I took A&P 1 and studied my butt off for a C lol good luck !!
I haven't looked into Maryville yet but I'm glad to hear your friend likes it...haven't read that many positive thoughts on the school unfortunately. Thank you and good luck :)

Most of the negative I see about Chamberlain either does not come from the STL campus, or comes from people who are bitter about something. The program is tough, but worth it if you can handle the accelerated pace. I attended there for a very short period of time, and chose to leave, however that was because between the cost, commuting, and speed of the program I was really stressing myself out! I think having all the non-nursing classes that Chamberlain accepts out of the way is really smart, that will help with the cost, and the overwhelming feelings I experienced. I have had a few friends complete the program, they all passed the nclex first try, and are currently working! Also I found the staff to be really great during my time there, even when I made the decision to withdrawal, they were very compassionate about the whole thing, and tried helping me work through my feelings. I was told I was welcome to come back anytime, and I will likely take them up on that when I start working on my BSN (I am currently in a CC about to finish my ADN.)
Thank you for the post ! When I went to the open house everyone seemed really friendly and your post added to that. I'm happy to hear that you know people who have gone and enjoyed it. I'm going to meet with them at the end of the year to see where I am and go from there. Good luck with everything!

I am about to complete my first session of classes at Chamberlain. I have really enjoyed it so far, and find the faculty and staff very helpful. I transferred in a lot of course work to help offset some costs.
