Has anyone attended or is currently attending Chamberlain College of Nursing in Atlanta? If so, how is it? Any info would be greatly appreciated. I am currently attending a technical college and have done all of my pre requisites except for the sciences. My gpa is 3.40. I just found out about this school and I am very interested... thanks.
Hi D_Taylor!
I am considering to apply to the nursing program and most likely will be starting in May. I have been reading many reviews about the nursing courses on how hard they are. I will need to take the transition and health and wellness course since I haven't taken those courses. I have completed all my pre reqs. Can you give me suggestions or advices about the transition and health and wellness course as well for other nursing course you have taken thus far? I have ordered few books and have been reading to get familiar with the concepts. I want to be prepared before I start the program since I have the free time at the moment and would like to use it efficiently. Any other helpful suggestions and advices would be greatly acceptable. Thank You
Question my deadline for January is 11/21. I'm doing my application Thursday and sending my transcripts on Thursday also that's the 20th do y'all think I have a chance to start in January? How long do the process usually take? Or should I just wait to start in May?
Hi Marlissia! I think as long as you have your application in by 21st you are good. You will take your test 7 days after you apply. Have you been studying the HESI exam? However, you are good because I applied last year around this exact time and everything worked out perfect!

I haven't where can I go to rent the book or what website can I got on to study it. What's all on the test?
You can rent it from Barnes and nobles off their website. The math was mainly basic math like adding, subtraction, dividing, and multiplying fractions. Percent problems with decimals and percent, ratios and proportions. Also the metric system. Basic English and and reading. Biology and chemistry. However, you only have to pass reading, math, and English to get in.
Hi Capricorn! The transition into nursing class wasn't bad at all. There are no exams it's mostly just discussion and a final project that you will have to present at the end of the session. Overall, this should be your easy A class. Now, for the health & wellness course its not as easy as some people may think. It actually requires reading your text and studying the material. I think that the first exam was the most challenging to me, because I didn't know how it would be set up and what exactly we would be tested on. But, after the first exam I did well on all the rest of the test. The class is certainly not impossible to pass. Just take the class serious, read, and STUDY. There are also a couple of group projects that you will have to do, but they were fun and not too hard. Overall, I liked the class and I learned quite a bit. Fundamentals, patho, and health assessment I don't take till the January session, so I'm not sure how those classes will be. I'm excited even though I hear that this is the most challenging semester. But, I look forward to letting you know how it goes.Hi klouis, Can you tell me the books that you will be using for fundamentals, patho, and health assessment? Also can you tell me specifically how were the Transition in nursing( NR- 101) and health & wellness (NR-222). Your suggestions would be really helpful. I'm looking forward to start the program in May at the ATL campus, since I have free time on my hands until then, I have planned to use the time efficiently by reading or any other things to be successful towards the program. Again your advice and suggestions would be really helpful. Thank You
