Has anyone attended or is currently attending Chamberlain College of Nursing in Atlanta? If so, how is it? Any info would be greatly appreciated. I am currently attending a technical college and have done all of my pre requisites except for the sciences. My gpa is 3.40. I just found out about this school and I am very interested... thanks.
Hi klouis!!! I'm thinking about starting the program in Atlanta. I'm happy to see you mention tuition can be cut in half as it is a lot more than other schools I've looked in to. I have a bachelors degree already...what are the prerequisites? How long have you been in the program? How is it thus far?
Thank You Klouis. I did get in touch with an advisor on campus and she was a great help in answering all my questions. Have you already started the program? If so do you have any advice or suggestions that would be helpful to know. I read a lot of reviews about the classes taken in the first semester of the program which are the Health Assessment, Fundamentals, and Patho. I have completed all my pre reqs, the only one I need are transition into nursing and health and wellness course before taking the patho or any other listed above. What would your recommendation be in order to take those classes? Is online or onsite better? I am a visual learner and I don't know if online would be a good option for me but If online is a better option in any case I wouldn't mind registering for an online course. I'm open to any suggestions and advices. Thank You
In terms of if it is better to take online classes vs on site I think it just really depends on how you learn best. I was the type of person to always take classes on site, but since I started the program some of the classes must be taken online. So, I took my first online class last session which was Critical Thinking and it really wasn't that bad to me. Every week there is discussions and assignments which may include a paper or a quiz. In the beginning it was a little hard to get in the groove, but after a while you get used to it. Now that I've taken an online class I would be open to taking more in the future, but I still prefer onsite classes.

Hey! The prerequisites for the program can be found on chamberlain.edu. They are usually the same as any other nursing program though. So, that includes classes like AP I & 2, psychology, english, algebra, statistics, and etc. I just started the program at Chamberlain and I'm in my second session. So, far I'm really enjoying the program. I won't be finished with all my nursing courses until Nov.2016 so I still have a little ways to go. I start Fundamentals, Patho, and Health Assesment in January, so I'll let you know how it goes! :)
Munasaid: I have really enjoyed the program at Chamberlain College of Nursing - Atlanta. There are some sessions that have been more challenging than others, but overall it has been a great experience. We had a class that graduated in June. All of them passed the NCLEX on the 1st try and most of them have already landed jobs. I know a couple are working in ICUs and one is in mother/delivery. I will graduate in June 2015. After this session I will only have three more classes to go. Please let me know if there are any other specific questions that I can answer for you.
Hi klouis, Can you tell me the books that you will be using for fundamentals, patho, and health assessment? Also can you tell me specifically how were the Transition in nursing( NR- 101) and health & wellness (NR-222). Your suggestions would be really helpful. I'm looking forward to start the program in May at the ATL campus, since I have free time on my hands until then, I have planned to use the time efficiently by reading or any other things to be successful towards the program. Again your advice and suggestions would be really helpful. Thank You
