Has anyone attended or is currently attending Chamberlain College of Nursing in Atlanta? If so, how is it? Any info would be greatly appreciated. I am currently attending a technical college and have done all of my pre requisites except for the sciences. My gpa is 3.40. I just found out about this school and I am very interested... thanks.

Hey everyone! I would like to know have any of you ever applied for the Nightingale Scholarship at Chamberlain?

Yup I'm taking those exact same classes.

It is nice to hear successful stories about student in the Atlanta campus! I have been going here for 4 months now and I'm anxious about my future classes. Im in NR 222 and Bio242N now. If you don't mind me asking, were you able to make higher then a 92 in most of the NR classes ? I'm trying to make A's to pull my GPA up.

Hi everyone. I am interested in applying to Chamberlain College of Nursing Atlanta campus for January 2015 session. Any advice on what I should study for as far as the HESI exam goes? Is the HESI easier than TEAS??

I have a 3.0 college GPA and math is my weakest subject, which I guess is a downer. Also how long do you guys think I should study before taking the HESI. I'M SUPER NERVOUS!

Thanks so much in advance

Hi,

The HESI is much easier than the TEAS test. Approx 7 days after you submit your application they schedule you the the test. I used quizlet to prepare for the exam. The only scores that count are english and math. The math is pretty basic. Hopefully this helps.

Yes this does help. And I was somewhat thinking the TEAS was easy because I have the study book. Just needed to refresh on the math and science a little. Thanks :)

Hello. I am currently a resident of Arkansas. I didn't come across this school until I read some reviews about this school on this website. I am planning to apply to this school, but would like to know when could I apply if I wanted to apply for the year 2015. When are the application deadline and I'm going to be taking the HESI exam on Nov 18th 2014 but the only areas that are tested are everything besides chemistry, biology and physics. Does this school require to take all the categories covered in the HESI exam? There isn't a school nearby where i live at the moment that offers that testing, so I will be driving to Dallas to take the exam since it is required by one of the schools I'm looking forward to apply out there. I have taken TEAS and scored an overall 92%. Is the Hesi hard than the TEAS? Also I have been studying from the HESI study guide Edition 3. Is that a good source or does anyone have any other recommendation to study for that test? I would appreciate all the advices and suggestions.

Chamberlain requires all parts of the HESI be taken. It is easier than the TEAS, I have taken both, and the math, for me was all ratios. There are some earth science questions. The test is timed and you are at a computer when the proctor says start you work until either time stops or you complete the test. You have the correct study guide. Your TEAS test is a good indication on how you will do on the HESI, they test the same information. I was ill when I took the HESI and scored in the 90's. You should contact the campus that you are going to attend, for exact dates. I am finishing my first term at Chamberlain and the staff wants to see the student succeed.

Thank You for all the information. I have been trying to get in touch with an advisor at the campus but due to the interview process going on they have been very busy and they told me that I can expect the call later today or tomorrow. I have questions regarding the admission process. When is the deadline to apply for the BSN program? Do they only enroll twice a year? (Fall and Spring) How long is the HESI exam for? Is there an on campus interview process for the application to the program? I'm a little lost. I have read all the requirements that are needed to apply and I meet all the requirements. I have taken all the pre reqs hopefully they all transfer. But just unaware of if there are any additional requirements to the application process.

QUESTIONS QUESTIONS QUESTIONS!

1) What is the average classroom size?

2) How much was tuition?

3) What was your HESI score?

Hey Capricorn! You have a lot of questions and they are all good ones. I'm not sure of when the deadline is to apply. However, I would recommend going online to chamberlain.edu and it should let you know when the deadline is. I believe they enroll students in 3 times a year. (Fall, Spring, and Summer). If not Summer I know for sure that they enroll for Fall and Spring. The HESI exam is timed. I believe you get about 3 1/2 or 4 hours to take the exam. No need to worry though the amount of time they give you is more than enough to complete the exam. For the Atlanta Campus we didn't really have an interview process. But, I'm hearing that the interview process is when you pass the exam and they meet with you again to discuss your finances, set you up for the drug test, and background screening. I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any more questions.

Hey chriscioloca! In terms of classroom sizes here at the Atlanta campus it averages from about 15 to 32 students in each classroom. It depends on what class it is though. The tuition price is very steep! If you are coming in with no prior credits tuition is about $80,000 in total. But, I would recommend taking your prerequisites at a community college or a school that is significantly cheaper and then transfer in. By doing that you can almost cut your tuition price in half. My HESI score was a 91. The exam really wasn't too difficult. All of the studying I did came straight from the HESI exam study book. I didn't use any other resources. I also only had about a week to study. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask!
