Making Good money in the ATL area with minimum experience
Great tip! If don't mind me asking. What hospital did you work PRN for? And what were their requirements? Did you find it difficult to juggle with your fulltime job?

Base Pay for New Grad in Atlanta
I know for ED the base pay is $29 an hour. However, the other specialties I assume are a bit lower such as Med-surg. I would guess probably $26 or 27 an hour. Either way Piedmont pays very well for new grads out of all the other metro Atlanta hospitals.

Piedmont Henry ED RN Residency 2017
$29 is base pay. Night diff is 3.50 to 4.50 and weekends are 6.00 an hr! From what I hear Piedmont pays the most for new grads in the metro Atlanta area.

They also, asked about how my prior experience as a PCT will help me as a nurse, what is the most difficult part of your job, describe a time you went above and beyond for a patient, and tell us about a time you used leadership skills. I think they asked a few more questions in addition to that, but those are ones I remember.

Piedmont Henry ED RN Residency 2017
Hey! For my interview they asked all behavioral questions. Such as why the ED, tell me about a time you had a difficult patient, and etc. However, I have heard that for some interviews they ask clinical scenario questions. Such as how would you handle a stroke patient using the nursing process. So, I would be prepared for those type of questions too just in case they may ask. Probably look up some case studies on stroke, DVT, DKA, and etc. Even if they don't ask you those type of questions its better to be on the safe side, so if they were to ask you won't stumble on it. Good luck on your interview! I'm sure you will do great. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Chamberlain College of Nursing in Atlanta, GA
Hey aero1! I started school at chamberlain in September 2014, so I am currently in my second session here. I truly like it so far. It is a fairly new school that has grown a lot over the past few years, but in all I do like it. All the staff seem to be very helpful and the teachers are good too. Next session I begin my lab classes and after that I will start clinicals. I'm very exciting to be starting these classes! Once I complete the January session I will be able to give you an even better outlook on the school.

Chamberlain College Of Nursing- FNP program
Hi SPJJ Mommy! My ultimate goal is to become an NP. I'm currently in the BSN program at Chamberlain now, but I'm wondering do you think I should just for straight for my NP degree or should I work as a nurse for a few years before applying? Also, how is the program going for you thus far? Have you started clinicals yet? If so, has it been hard to find preceptors?
