  1. I actually just accepted an offer from Piedmont Atlanta in their ICU nurse residency yesterday! Congratulations!! We are almost nurses!
  2. I applied for euh and didn't get that from them but I also applied to st Joseph as well and that recruiter sent me all that information minus the background check so maybe receiving it before just depends on the recruiter? And they are just trying to give you some more information about them. I don't think it would mean anything bad getting it before an interview. I think getting that after would be a sign of a job offer. But maybe I'm reading it wrong who knows. Just hope we hear something soon.
  3. Yeah it definitely does pending the background check and health and drug screen. Is it for euh?
  4. Congratulations that's amazing! Which hopsital and floor?
  5. Yeah wow two weeks is forever... I was always told Emory gets back to you super quickly so I was thinking like the middle of this week. Well that's disappointing haha
  6. Not yet! When does everyone think we'll hear by? And does anyone know if they are letting us know either way or if we'll only hear from them if we got a position and just have to assume if we don't hear soon that we didn't get it?
  7. are we still able to apply??
  8. wow they told me I would hear in a few days, which really got my hopes up so that's disappointing to hear
  9. I'm doing critical care for both! have you heard anything from piedmont? I interviewed yesterday so just wanted to get a general idea of when I could expect to hear from them
  10. Good luck to you as well! What positions are you interviewing for at both?
  11. Hey everyone! So I just interviewed with Piedmont of Atlanta yesterday and have two interviews with Emory tomorrow, one for Emory University Hospital and one for Emory St. Joseph's all for critical care new graduate residency positions. I just wanted to see if anyone has ever worked at any of these hospitals or participated in any of their residency programs and could provide me a little insight on them! Just trying to compare/contrast their programs in case I end up having to make a decision and choose between the two. Things like how well they treat/train new grads, environments on the units, opportunities to see/do new and exciting things, pay/benefits or anything else would be great!
  12. Which position did you interview for/have you heard back yet? Not trying to be nosey about their decision but I was just curious how long it takes for them to get back to people because I just interviewed with them yesterday!
  13. I just interviewed with Piedmont Atlanta for the Critical Care residency yesterday. I talked to two nurse managers both from the CVICU and they said they give their recommendations to the other ICU managers as well. they asked why i was there to interview, why piedmont, why critical care, some usual behavioral questions (strengths/weaknesses) and gave some knowledge based scenarios you needed to work through. they said the recruiter would be contacting me with their decision either way good or bad in the next few days so hopefully don't have too wait to long. What did everyone apply for?
  14. Also does anyone know what the critical care interviews are like? I know they are a panel style (I have heard something along the lines of 8 nurse managers with 8 candidates) but didn't know if people had heard other things? or what types of questions they usually ask? i'm a little nervous about the group style interview and getting chances to answer questions so if anyone knows how that process works or has any tips it would be super appreciated! Good luck to everyone tomorrow!
