When I applied I submitted my application on the weekend and got a call back that Monday. My interview was set up the folllowing week I think. It all moved pretty fast. I applied for all of the residency positions that I was interested in at all of their hospitals, except the Jasper location. Ours were listed by area (Med-Surg, ED, NICU, etc).

No problem! Hope it works out for you!! That was my biggest stressor right before graduation. I was worried about finding a job doing what I wanted to do.

There are plenty of hospitals that hire ADN nurses. Don't let that stop you. I worried about that a lot, but still ended up with offers. Hope you end up where you want to be :)

I think they had some start dates that were different last year (some were November). It may just depend on what they are hiring for. I do know that there is plenty of time between the application opening and the actual start date. You could always apply and see what they offer you, and then compare it to the offer from the hospital where you live (if Piedmont's openings are up). I guess you could always just see which hospital has more pros/cons for you, and then decide what's best for you in the long run based on that. Hope that helps.

You're right, sorry. Didn't realize you were talking about the start dates. I think those came out closer to May, at least that's when they were posted last year. The hiring and interview process is the same though. I know people that applied for those as well.

Hi there! I applied for Fall 2015 and first noticed the jobs go up in late September and early October. I applied a couple of days later, and interviewed a week later.

I accepted for the ER. I was told that it would be 13 weeks long, a preceptor would be available, and that you have training in different (critical care) areas. I believe there is some classroom work involved, but nothing like school. Also would need to have my ACLS/PALS within 6 months, but they offer the classes there. I'm sure it will be a learning experience, but I'm excited and ready. When is your start date, and which area will you be in?

I didn't accept one at Piedmont Newton, but I did accept one for Piedmont Fayette. I only know what they have told me so far. Have you accepted an offer at Newton?

I interviewed for an ER position, still waiting to hear back though.

Hi everyone! I have applied to the 2016 RN Residency program with Piedmont Hospital, and wanted to start a thread for anyone else that has applied. I wanted to see if anyone out there has went through the residency program with Piedmont and could share some thoughts or insight as to what it was like for them. Also, if anyone has interviewed for the residency could you share a little bit about how it went and what it was like.
