Emory vs. Piedmont Critical Care Residency
I actually just accepted an offer from Piedmont Atlanta in their ICU nurse residency yesterday! Congratulations!! We are almost nurses!

Emory New Nurse Grad Residency Program March 2016
I applied for euh and didn't get that from them but I also applied to st Joseph as well and that recruiter sent me all that information minus the background check so maybe receiving it before just depends on the recruiter? And they are just trying to give you some more information about them. I don't think it would mean anything bad getting it before an interview. I think getting that after would be a sign of a job offer. But maybe I'm reading it wrong who knows. Just hope we hear something soon.

Not yet! When does everyone think we'll hear by? And does anyone know if they are letting us know either way or if we'll only hear from them if we got a position and just have to assume if we don't hear soon that we didn't get it?

Emory vs. Piedmont Critical Care Residency
Hey everyone! So I just interviewed with Piedmont of Atlanta yesterday and have two interviews with Emory tomorrow, one for Emory University Hospital and one for Emory St. Joseph's all for critical care new graduate residency positions. I just wanted to see if anyone has ever worked at any of these hospitals or participated in any of their residency programs and could provide me a little insight on them! Just trying to compare/contrast their programs in case I end up having to make a decision and choose between the two. Things like how well they treat/train new grads, environments on the units, opportunities to see/do new and exciting things, pay/benefits or anything else would be great!

Piedmont RN Residency 2016 (December Grads)
Which position did you interview for/have you heard back yet? Not trying to be nosey about their decision but I was just curious how long it takes for them to get back to people because I just interviewed with them yesterday!

Piedmont RN Residency 2016 (December Grads)
I just interviewed with Piedmont Atlanta for the Critical Care residency yesterday. I talked to two nurse managers both from the CVICU and they said they give their recommendations to the other ICU managers as well. they asked why i was there to interview, why piedmont, why critical care, some usual behavioral questions (strengths/weaknesses) and gave some knowledge based scenarios you needed to work through. they said the recruiter would be contacting me with their decision either way good or bad in the next few days so hopefully don't have too wait to long. What did everyone apply for?

Also does anyone know what the critical care interviews are like? I know they are a panel style (I have heard something along the lines of 8 nurse managers with 8 candidates) but didn't know if people had heard other things? or what types of questions they usually ask? i'm a little nervous about the group style interview and getting chances to answer questions so if anyone knows how that process works or has any tips it would be super appreciated! Good luck to everyone tomorrow!

i have read on the threads from past residencies and from other friends who have applied to emory in the past that they let you know either way good or bad really quickly, sometimes as soon as the next day (which probably won't happen for us since that would be a saturday) but we will probably hear early to the middle of next week hopefully!

The only one I have been asked references for so far was the specific critical care residency at Emory St. Joseph by William Kelly but I haven't heard from the recruiter from the other position yet so I wouldn't worry.

Emory New Nurse Grad Residency Program March 2016
I have an interview with the critical care residency (ccu/cvicu) with emory st. joseph's at 11 and an interview with the general residency through emory university hospital at 1. My email giving me the time was somewhat vague on what I actually got for that one but my recruiter (Alison Crider) did email me before asking for my preference in ICU and I said neuro/cvicu and then I got my time so I'm assuming/hoping that. I also got my email today asking for the five references. Anyone know the chances for getting hired after one of their interviews?? I'm really nervous about the panel style interview! Also congratulations to everyone else interviewing and good luck! I'm sure I'll be seeing some of you there!

I got an email two days ago asking for my preference within Critical Care and she said once I gave my preference I would hear back about an interview time on October 30th but haven't received anything since. My roommate received the same email as me and today she got the same email as tallulahfalls about her practicum not being in critical care but our program has not started our practicum yet as we spend our first half of the semester doing a critical care clinical so we don't even know what our practicum placements are at this time. But I'm in the same position as her and did not receive that email so I'm not really sure what to think/expect/do about it?

Hello! I applied October 1st, got an email the next day for a digital interview and completed it on the 7th. My application status was updated on the 8th and it says application under review but I have not heard anything else. I'm not sure if I should take this as a bad sign that its been over a week and still haven't heard anything? For people that have had an in person interview, how long did it take you to hear from them after your digital interview?
