Chabot, Merritt, Ohlone Fall 2017

Published

Hello Fellow Bay Area Students!

Did anyone apply for Chabot, Merritt, or Ohlone's Fall 2017 term? We should be hearing back from Chabot in about 10 days!

Guys I forgot to ask. When you took the TEAS, was there any pictures for the A&P part? Thank you

No pictures on mine, not much by way of anatomy really, just things like layers of the skin and paths of the heart.

Thank you @dura.mater!

@qvuong no , I applied to six schools. 4 state schools such as cal state east bay, sf state, Sonoma state, Fresno state. 3 associate programs los medanos college, Chabot, and city college. I got wait listed for city college. I didn't get into cal state east bay, sf state, Sonoma state. So I'm happy to hear back from Chabot.

How do you know you didn't get into Cal State East Bay? They haven't sent anything out yet.

@traumaholic, EMT-B this might be irrelevant but my friend who got in Chico state received an email but that's because she was in the waitlist program. It's either email/mail.

@tramaholic sorry your right. I haven't heard back from cal state east bay. I'm still waiting to hear back.

@dura.mater can I ask you something :D I'm just wondering.. I know there are students who are on remediation for the teas and someone told me that they're given the priority, and not the alt list students. If that's the case, how come you were able to get your spot? Thank you!

@Joriv did you hear back from Cal state East Bay?

@traumaholic I did hear back today through email. I didn't get in . What about you?

@kbear09 I'm not sure how all that works, to be honest. Perhaps because I had already passed the TEAS?

Does anyone have any input on choosing between Contra Costa, Ohlone and Chabot? I'm very lucky to have been accepted to all three. I am leaning away from Contra Costa simply because of distance from me, both to school and clinicals. Ohlone is slightly farther from me but if it's a better program it doesn't matter.

*bump*

Are you accepted at Ohlone for fall 2017? If so, any information on a in-person orientation? I got my acceptance email for fall 2017 yesterday. The email is just a rundown of what needs to be done (physical, background/drug tests, immunization). I feel super ill informed on the program itself. Heck, I don't even know the start date.

I never thought I would be in this position, but I am also choosing between a few differnt programs. Any info on ohlone would be greatly appreciated.
