Hello Fellow Bay Area Students!
Did anyone apply for Chabot, Merritt, or Ohlone's Fall 2017 term? We should be hearing back from Chabot in about 10 days!
I'm still waiting to hear back from Ohlone in case I get a solid spot there but I am definitely going to submit my acceptance to Chabot! I hope the top of the qualified candidates get into BSN programs or other programs of choice.
As for the TEAS I think June is plenty of time. I studied about 2 weeks ahead of time (not as diligent as I could have been) and passed with 83. If you really spend the time you can score in the 90s!
@kbear09 - i think you have a good amount of time to study for the test. I took mine while i was taking Microbiology class and i studied about 2 weeks ahead of time. I score 80 which is not as high as i wanted but it was not as bad as i thought it would be.
Good luck on your exam
@YassQueen - When will you hear back from Ohlone?
@qvuong no , I applied to six schools. 4 state schools such as cal state east bay, sf state, Sonoma state, Fresno state. 3 associate programs los medanos college, Chabot, and city college. I got wait listed for city college. I didn't get into cal state east bay, sf state, Sonoma state. So I'm happy to hear back from Chabot.
We should be hearing back from Ohlone Fall admission end of May, students selected for Spring will hear back by September.
Last year Chabot went up past alternate 38! I met the woman who was alternate 38 and she got in. They even said at the info session that I attended last Fall that they go up very high in alternates and they call people up until the first day of class.

@kbear09 yes I bought those 2 books too. Reading part was quite long, I didn't have time to review my answers. Make sure u watch khan academy for science. Math was easy since calculator provided. Oh and I thought the practice test on their website was helpful.
