  1. I'm anticipating my ADN this May and have been accepted into both CSU East Bay and Dominguez Hills RN-BSN programs. Does anyone care to share their experience of either program including pros and cons they feel relevant? Thanks!
  2. Hi! The second year students will be meeting with first year students during the orrientation at the end of this month. It is highly encouraged that new students "buddy-up" with second years for help, tutoring and general support. You'll get plenty of tips and advice to start at that meeting.
  3. Yes. I had to call my doctor to write a letter stating the lot and expiration. They have the info but kept insisting they couldn't get to it. Very frustrating!
  4. Has anyone had any luck getting their immunization records with lot # AND expiration date from Kaiser? I've been able to get them with the Lot # but not the expiration date. I've been to 2 different locations and called both immunizations and medical secretary and neither department seem to know how to access that.
  5. Quantitative for Hep B & C. Kaiser does not do quantitative for MMR & tetorifice so you just have to show that you are current on those or positive for antibodies but those do not have to be quantitative. I double checked with Catherine today that this will be okay.
  6. As of Thursday Chabot is still on #16. I moved forward with my requirements for Ohlone to secure my spot!
  7. I talked to the gal who was number 38 and heard back from them as late as end of June last year! There is hope for us you guys! Keep praying!
  8. Did anyone else hear from Chabot this week about what alternate number they are on? I haven't checked since last Friday because the woman asked me not to check back for a couple of weeks so I'm curious to know.
  9. Thank you! You are correct, the woman who distributes the paperwork is not very helpful. Everytime I respond to one of her emails she writes back - "I have no idea what you are talking about but....(insert random info)" I was also nervous because during the info session they had us attend, I couldn't understand the program director, she had such a heavy acent. However, your new info has given me a better idea of what it's like. Thanks for contributing! I will probably reach out to you soon for more info once my paperwork is all submitted and okayed!
  10. I emailed Chabot last week on Friday and they said they were up to 10. Catherine asked that I check back in a few weeks. Has anyone checked on the status this week? In the meantime, I accepted at Ohlone. If Chabot takes me I may withdraw from Ohlone since Chabot is closer and that was my first pick. But I will take what I can get!
  11. I receieved a letter of acceptance from Ohlone today! I am an alternate at Chabot and was hoping for them because I they are closer and as a current student at their sister school, Las Positas, I am more familiar with the layout. I wonder if we can call and ask which alternate they are on! Does anyone know the due dates for the background check? The forms they sent over are vague. Some have due dates and others just say ASAP.
  12. We should be hearing back from Ohlone Fall admission end of May, students selected for Spring will hear back by September. Last year Chabot went up past alternate 38! I met the woman who was alternate 38 and she got in. They even said at the info session that I attended last Fall that they go up very high in alternates and they call people up until the first day of class.
  13. I'm still waiting to hear back from Ohlone in case I get a solid spot there but I am definitely going to submit my acceptance to Chabot! I hope the top of the qualified candidates get into BSN programs or other programs of choice. As for the TEAS I think June is plenty of time. I studied about 2 weeks ahead of time (not as diligent as I could have been) and passed with 83. If you really spend the time you can score in the 90s!
  14. What if he was still high from the incredible time he had with a new dating partner?
  15. Hi everyone! I heard from Chabot today. I am alternate 24! Last year they went up to alternate 38!!
