CGFNS chaos

As I had already posted, I passed the July 13th CGFNS Exam. I graduated from 2 different Nursing Schools. I did 3 years basic Nursing course and worked for 41 months then again did 2 year Bachelors degree in nursing which I passed in 2004. I requested both of my schools to send my credentials to CGFNS and they did so. CGFNS determined that my credentials met all the requirements and they allowed me to test which I passed. Now after 2 months since I took the CG exam, they have changed the status of my documents. They have written that, Nursing education from my first school does not meet the requirement and the second they received but did not accept. But in the Visa screen application status, they have written the same old things..meets all program requirement. They have written in explanation that, they have communicated with applicant about why the credentials were not acceped..but they have not mrntioned sending any correspondence to me in the correspondence column,, and I have not received one regarding this till now,they havent called me either. I wonder, why CGFNS allowed me to sit for the exam if I did not meet the requirements. . I am fed up with the inefficiency of CGFNS. This is ridiculous. CGFNS needs a lot of renovation in its system and working efficiency,,not only its physical appearance or Buildings.

I have had to use CGFNS for different reasons since 1996. I believe they have gotten worse instead of better over the years. I recently asked for a copy of my CGFNS report and it was mailed to me for $50. I left it in the sealed envelope and provided it to HR at a Hospital that I'm applying to for a management position. The HR person opened it, copied it and gave me the copy. A few days later when going through my papers I realized the cover letter had my name, but the attached report was for a Nurse from India! I'm from Canada and a male. Did she get my report? Is this a breach of confidentiality? I will be calling them on Monday to get this resolved. I obviosly need my report to hand in to HR. This organization must have to report to someone? They have to much power and provide poor customer service. It is obvious by these postings that they have caused much undo hardship and cost to many people. I hope my potential employer is understanding.

hi! I have a big concerns about my cgfns...I had applied for ces reports this february 2009.and now im planning to take the cgfns exam.my question is ,do i need to send another "validation of license" and "request for academic records"? or I dont need to send it anymore..since they already had that copy...hope you can help me..thanks!

If CGFNS already has your information, you should not have to resend it. It should already be in your file.

hi!suzzane ..just want to ask again about the photo identification form in cgfns certification program.I'm just confused about the signature of applicant. It was wriitten there that i should not print rather i should sign entire name(first name, middle name, last name). i'm just confused..Ive been using my signature as initial of my first name and my complete surname..Does it matter if signed it like that?or I should sign a new signature which has may firstname, middle name and last named signed.thanks if you can reply..

Hello everyone,

I really thought that I was the only one who find MOST of the CGFNS representative to be veryyyyyyyy rude!There is one person in particular,a male,who is extremely rude.On the other hand;the evaluators ,in my experience, are very friendly and sweet.However, you have to keep calling,keep calling for them to remember to review your documents.I spent 5 1/2 months waiting for my report to be issued.Most of the wait was due to a few people being incompetent.They send to the nursing school for one thing;when it is received,they need something else.I had to threaten to lodge an official complaint before they got it right. It is very disheartening to pay $325-375 for this kind of service.:( I just pray to the good lord to guide me so I don't have to use the service of CGFNS again.

P.S keep checking your status everyday.When you call just ask the rep to put you through to your evaluator.

I applied/started submitting all my requirements for ces report last feb 2009. In less than a month, the status of the my order says "report issued".

i wonder why i wasnt able to receive the CGFNS CES report in the snail mail? the next thing i know is that the BON received it and made me eligible. will i need the report in getting a job here in the US?

I'm getting frustrated with CGFNS. I've sent my application for the CES report last July 2008, as well as the other documents needed. I've complied with all the requirements they stated in the handbook. But then, when they asked for another document for the report, that's when things got really confusing. After sending the said document, I received a letter from their office stating that there were still other outstanding documents. These 'other outstanding documents' were the documents I sent after sending them my CES application. I am sure that they already received such documents since I used the tracking from the post office and of the courier's, and the said documents were received and signed for by their office. And now, for the THIRD time, they asked for the 'other outstanding documents'.

I'm at my wit's end. I'm trying to keep my patience in processing my papers since I am well aware that the career path I chose is not easy. But incidents like these...well...I really can't describe anymore my frustration! Argh! :banghead:

As far as I am aware you should get a report of the CES

i was worried..i took the cgfns exam this july and used an electonic scantron..and i missed 5 items to answer..my question was what will happen if i missed 5 items and did not put any mark on it..

is it true that the machine would not read it..and the score will be zero?and which will means i failed?hope i can hear an answer thanks..
