CES for Illinois nclex application

World Registration

Published

Hi All,

im just new here, it's nice there is such informative and useful site like this.

I have question regarding CES in applying nclex for Illinois. I've that the requirments are CES and TOEFL. I have my CES but i'm a little bit confuse because my CES was Healthcare Profession & Science Report but in the requirements i've read the needed CES is Healthcare Profession & Science Course-By-Course Report. i just want to know if my CES will be accepted? i hope you could give me an idea on this.

thanks

here is the thing, last year of may, i filed my application for ces which is a requirement in nclex il. the type of ces is healthcare profession & science report (as per nclex il application form, page 4 c-1) by august of the same year, cgfns sent me a mail telling that i have met all the requirements and my ces has been approved. would that also mean that they have submitted a copy of the report to the il-bon?

last year of november, i started to process my nclex application. on the application form, i noticed that there's another requirement which i need to have- and that is the certification of passage of toefl. by that time, i was already preparing my application. i submitted the ct-nur form on the licensing body here in the philippines and they submitted the form to cts. the four-page application form, ed-nur, and the fp-nur are not yet been submitted to cts because i still need to have certification of passage of toefl. however, the fingerprint card i requested has not also been submitted to the approved livescan vendors certified by il state police. will it be possible if i will submit all the forms (four-page appliction,ed-nur,fp-nur) without the toefl certifacate then once i passed toefl, i'll just send the certificate to cts? or they should be submitted at one time?

i also need some help regarding the application form of nclex il.

a. part i of the four-page application form.

-should i write the total fee of $291 ($91 for cts and $200 for ncsbn on the reference sheet page 14.)?

b. partvii of the four-page application form (examination coding information)

-how can i fill in that part? does it mean that i should call cts and register for the examination then submit the licensure/examination application to cts?

another thing that really makes me confuse is the cgfns certicate and the visa screen program certification stated by the form[color=sandybrown] (page 5,d.)

if you could shed some light or provide me the steps i would really appreciate it. thanks alot for your help.

cts/idfpr will download the ces report from cgfns website. your ces report is already available however your application and fees are not yet with cts so they doesn't care for your ces report at the moment. even your ct-nur, cts might be confused on what to do with your ct-nur form because you don't have application with them. regarding toefl, during your application with toefl you will be indicating your result recipient so don't worry on how you are going to submit the toefl result.

i suggest that you have to read the instruction sheet of illinois carefully before you take some steps so that you will not be wasting your time and money.

you don't need to accomplished the ed-nur because this is just for those educated in the us and its territories.

the things that you have to submit at cts are application form (4 pages), fp-nur and the money order with an amount of 88usd (91usd if you pass your application after 07/01/10).

the things that you are going to submit with the fingerprinting agency (accurate biometrics/art's investigations

or identix) are the fingerprinting card/s and the fingerprinting fee (money order). not the state police.

mail them separately.

you will be paying the 200usd for ncsbn at pearson-vue. once cts approved your application you will be receiving an approval letter which indicates that you are allowed to take the nclex-rn exam. at that time you will register at pearson-vue (the one and only exam provider for nclex which is trusted by ncsbn). you will pay usd200 plus usd150 if you take the exam outside us.

in your query about page 5.d. it says there, in lieu of......meaning instead of......if and only if you don't have cgfns-ces report (which is discuss in 5.c), cgfns-certificate and visa screen certificate can be used.

Thanks a lot Daigorot..:yeah:

You shouldn't apply to pearsonvue until you have eligibility to sit NCLEX from the BON. Page 2 on this link explains what the process is http://www.idfpr.com/dpr/apply/forms/rn-ex.pdf

Once you have eligibility to sit exam you register with pearsonvue who will send you your ATT and you can schedule a date to take the exam. Pearsonvue will only send ATT once BON authorises it

CTS is Continental Testing Services. For initial licensing, you should apply to them not the IDFPR.

Contact CTS regarding your status. I already posted the contact person and number from precious posting of this thread. Kindly look at it. Calling them will clear all these questions that you have.

Hi All,

Please help me on how to fill in the Part VII of the four-page application of NCLEX IL application form?

How can I select the examination I desire, test codes, examination site and the school code? would that mean that before i can submit this application form, I need to register for the examination?

What is that NCLEX examination candidate bulletin? How can i fill in the part VII if i need to do that first?

How long does it usually take the BON-IL to send your eligibility, granting that all your requirements have been submitted? Will it take months?

Howdy!

I am new here.. I want to ask more about the next step after application. I am done with my papers including the biometrics (fingerprinting) and the last time I called the Illinois Board they told me to call PearsonVue. My problem is will it be okay to take the test with my address in the Philippines even if I am already here in the USA? Should I change my address first? Do I need the eligibility before registering to Pearson ?

I am so confused on what to do with it now. I been waiting for eligibility for a year now.. Please help me.

Thank you,

If the BON has given you the go ahead to register with pearsonvue then register, pearsonvue will not issue ATT unless BON has told them it is OK to do so. Up to you about the address the main thing on ATT is that the names match

Hi,

Does anyone know how long it takes for CTS to send an approval letter?

Hi,

Does anyone know how long it takes for CTS to send an approval letter?

That's my problem too. Four (4) weeks ago, my status in CTS site was updated to "Approved".

I am checking my mailbox regularly but until now there is no letter for me.

I hope someone is kind enough to share their experience regarding this matter.

Thanks and God bless.
