CEP Feb. Applicants

Published

Hi all! Anyone else applying for the CEP program through Maricopa Community College during this upcoming application cycle? I'm applying for the GCC/NAU program and was curious if anyone else is applying this semester as well. I'm hoping I make the cutoff - the program is becoming really popular really fast!

Okay, I went ahead and did the admissions for CGCC. I didn't want to do it again, since I was still technically admitted. Now how do I know which classes I need to enroll for?

Are you attending GCC?

Well paint me stupid! You already said CGCC...sorry. I don't know how you will know. I'm attending GCC and the coordinator has been emailing us with information directly. I guess just keep checking your emails.

Oh okay! Here I am freaking out about nothing then. ;) Haven't heard a word from CGCC. Have you already turned in your registration packet and all the required paperwork? I haven't, and won't til later this summer because of CPR and the TB test.

I've turned in my registration paket and once you turn it in they go over it right there with you and they will register you for your classes. Atleast that was the process that I went through with mcc

They must do it different at every college. At GCC they sent everyone a mass email that links to a welcome website. This then goes over every aspect of what is to come (vaccinations, background checks, class registration, uniforms, etc.). Besides having to submit some acknowledgement forms by the 9th, almost everything else is going to be discussed at the all day mandatory orientation which takes place on July 23rd.

I'm all enrolled for NAU and GCC now! Everything is coming together!

Thats great news for you to be all done with the enrolling. I hear that Gateway will hopefully be sending out emails this week. It would be so nice to be admitted and move to the next step. I had no idea this was such a long process, but I should have known better. It's all good I need the break:)

Me too!! I even went down to GCC and got my consortium agreement filled out so i can now submit that. It feels nice to check stuff off of the long list we have.

Which clinical site did you go with? I got HealthSouth like I wanted. Hope it stays the same...they keep mentioning that it could change at any time!

Very nice! Do you know when we submit it all? I wonder if it is only at orientation? I went with Glencroft because they seemed to provide a wider range of services. I heard good things about HealthSouth though! Are you weekends?

I'm pretty sure that it said that they would give us the information on how to submit it all at the orientation. Not sure if we have to submit it all there, but I'm definitely going to be bringing all of my paperwork with me just in case. Would rather be prepared!

Glencroft wasn't even an option for me. And the only reason that I picked HealthSouth was because of the good things I've heard about it. It's actually the absolute furthest from my house and will probably be a pain in the butt considering that we have to be there at 6am! But I would like to have a good clinical experience (is anyone else as nervous as I am for clinicals?).

I'm in the evenings/weekends cohort.

How exciting! Did someone from your cc email you about clinicals? I'm enrolled for classes but haven't received anything from my college about clinical sites. I guess more info is to come
