IIRC, there was no mailed packet from Chandler Gilbert. They emailed it several months ahead of time, so you could get your immunizations and such done. White or black shoes. A stethoscope. Unless you can find textbooks with the access codes still attached, don't bother with used books. You either have to buy the complete ebook package for $420ish or you can buy the ebooks+hardbacks for $720ish. Starscape is "required" but no one has used it. You can use an app called epocrates for free (and what GCU uses). Any and all NCLEX study books are useful. There is also a drug guide by Mosby specifically for Nursing Students that says things in plainer english, I highly recommend it. A few editions behind is fine. If you have tattoos, plan to cover them. Get a Student ID from security if you don't already have one. Be prepared to study. A lot. Make study groups, argue over whose answer is right, teach each other. Pharmacology is essentially self taught. Oh! I forgot to mention that Fridays are dubbed Virtual Fridays. They're expecting you to spend 8 hours that day on pharmacology. Whether or not it's actually 8 hours is up to you. Figure out a study method that works and start the first day. One of those roll suitcase things may be needed. I'm still holding out though! Also if you work, try and figure out how not to. I know that sounds silly, but countless fellow students have quit or severely lowered their hours. I'm hanging on to 10 hours a week by the skin of my teeth. Good luck! You got this!

Week 9 or 10, depending on the site and schedule.

The current Block 1 schedule is Monday (8:30 to 3), Wednesday (8:30 - 3), Thursday (8:30 -1). You are also required to put in 2 additional hours of lab time a week. The lab is open from 5:30 - 7:30 on Monday and Wednesday evenings. My clinical schedule is Sundays 6:30 - 6:30, and a few Tuesdays. To select clinical sites, we drew numbers and then selected what we wanted. There were 5 different schedules and 4 different locations. It's hard to say what they will be like next semester because it all depends on the clinical locations. Once clinicals start, you no longer go Monday and Wednesday (or lab hours), and you'll go to class on Thursday for lecture.

My college had a letter that the provider signed off on. It included a couple pages of exactly what the college was looking for (sound mental health, able to stand for long periods, etc) but it did not include any Personal Health Information. I would definitely ask if there is something else you could submit.

I'm dumb. I don't have 330 until July, but I did start 321 today. Thankfully there was FINALLY something showing up in my BB.

Does anyone have access to their NUR321 class in Blackboard? It starts Monday, right? Usually by now we can at least see that we have classes coming up, and access the syllabus and such. Should I contact someone, or stop being a Nervous Nellie?

Oh okay! Here I am freaking out about nothing then. Haven't heard a word from CGCC. Have you already turned in your registration packet and all the required paperwork? I haven't, and won't til later this summer because of CPR and the TB test.

Okay, I went ahead and did the admissions for CGCC. I didn't want to do it again, since I was still technically admitted. Now how do I know which classes I need to enroll for?

So I was just looking at my Maricopa Student Center, and there's nothing listed at all. It even says "To apply for admissions to a Maricopa Community College, click on the MCCCD Admissions link below. Once the application is submitted you can enroll for classes." at the top. Until now I figured it's just cause things were still processing. Are you guys actually able to enroll for classes and whatnot? Now I'm really nervous.

The email was from NAU, in my NAU email account. Maricopa won't be handling any of our financial aid. Sorry for the confusion. :/

I think that's what my plan is going to be too. Use it to pay for everything I need this summer and save what's left to help with the Maricopa class payments in the Fall and books and whatnot.

It was mailed. Like a credit card with a barcode and a security seal. Sounds like getting two was just a mix up.

Did anyone else get two copies of their background check card? I paid extra to get one, but now I feel silly because maybe it was included in the Maricopa package?
