Cedars Sinai RN New Grad Residency Fall 2021 Cohort Application

Hello! 

I applied for the RN residency program this morning around 2 am because I heard it normally closes up fairly early, but it looks like it is still going! Does anyone know information on how the process normally goes? I got an internal referral, does that improve my chances at all? Thanks in advance!

I also applied for the RN residency yesterday morning. Hopefully, the hiring process goes by fairly quick. I chose surgical stepdown/transplant and general surgery. Good luck to everyone who applied.

Hi everyone, I also applied yesterday afternoon (luckily) while it was still open. Please update us for any changes to your profile status, mine is "under consideration" I'm assuming thats was the default since it said that as soon as I submitted. Hopefully this goes by quickly!

Hello there! I applied to Surgical Stepdown/Transplant & Telemetry. They don't take too long (although it sure feels like it) to reach out to applicants to schedule interviews. The interviews will be on September 1st & 2nd so I'm guessing they would probably let us know within the next 2-ish weeks. 

The last cohort (Summer '21) played out like this:

  • May 25th: Applications open
  • June 7th:  People started receiving rejection emails.
    • Some received them earlier if they didn't meet basic requirements like providing transcripts, RN license, etc.
    • I heard the application status will change to "No Longer Under Consideration" when they get the rejection email. (Oddly, my status never changed until August 2nd which was the day applications opened for THIS cohort...may my application was never opened?)
  • End of June: Interviews were held.
  • July 2nd: People began receiving job offers.

Regarding the referrals, I'm sure they help! I know internal applicants get priority of course. Anyhow, if I hear anything I'll post an update here. I hope their cohort is large this time! Best of luck to everyone! ?

Hi everyone! I recieved an email this morning for a scheduled connectivity test in preparation for an interview! Did anyone recieve this email? I'm not sure if I'm supposed to confirm my attendance before hand of whether our attendance is confirmed by just attending the connectivity test. Let me know!

This morning I received 2 emails stating I was selected for the next round of the interview process & there were also instructions for the connectivity test which ensures our webcam/microphone/etc. are working properly for the interview.

Congrats! I was wondering if either of you guys were internal applicants? Still waiting on my emails, hopefully soon!
