Cedars-Sinai RN New Grad 2011

Just wanted to know if anyone here got an e-mail invitation on Cedars-Sinai RN New Grad Program. I had my phone interview with them on December 29th. I received my e-mail today inviting me to the hiring event Open House for the Program on January 19th. I'm soooo nervous. It's been almost a year since I graduated and I finally got my first in-person interview! It's been so hard on all of us graduates! Let's hope for the best! :D

It comes as an email. The open house is June 8 at 4 pm.

Thanks for the answer. My friend got her open house invitation yesterday for June 6 at 1 pm. Anyone out there got a different date?

got my invite today june 8 4:30, so excited i precepted here and loved it! does anyone know what units have openings for new grads this summer?

quick question on phone interviews? i have my in house interview but never had a phone interview....do they call you at random for the phone interview, or did you schedule it? Just wondering if I'll have one or not....

I emailed ------- and asked her about what areas are available for the new graduate program since my portfolio needs to contain only one (1) area of interest and she replied,

"Everyone is going to be placed on a M/S floor so whatever area you think you might want in the future you can put down."

oh thats good to know, I've been working on contacting some of my classmates that are working there now to find out any information they have on the process... I'd heard before that everyone starts on m/s... I was thinking of putting ED as my unit of choice since I precepted at Cedars ED and really loved it

i've heard from my classmates things about chain of command, patient safety, nursing responsibilites things like that

I went to register a profile on the website today and I stumbled on this forum just now. I was wondering if most of you who were invited for the open house did their clinicals at Cedars. Have they stopped taking in applications for New Grad already? I've been busy sending resumes online and I couldn't believe I just did Cedars now. Just like a couple of you here, I didn't see any link for New Grad when I checked their website in April. I hope to get an invitation to their Open House. Good luck to everyone!
