Cedars-Sinai RN New Grad 2011

Just wanted to know if anyone here got an e-mail invitation on Cedars-Sinai RN New Grad Program. I had my phone interview with them on December 29th. I received my e-mail today inviting me to the hiring event Open House for the Program on January 19th. I'm soooo nervous. It's been almost a year since I graduated and I finally got my first in-person interview! It's been so hard on all of us graduates! Let's hope for the best! :D

Since it wasn't posted on the website, I think the only way to know is to call Cedars and ask for the nursing recruitment office. I'm sorry, I don't have the number, but you can call the main hospital line and request to be transferred. They will have more accurate informations for you. Let us know how it goes...

did you apply as well coz am not sure if i can be consider in the program since i graduated 2008 of april and i just recently pass my nclex may 4 and got my my result a week ago

I did apply, I'm crossing my fingers to get an invitation letter for the open house.

From what I have read and heard, you are consider new grad as long as you have graduated less than 12 months ago; or in some places, you have worked as a RN in an acute care setting for less than 6 months to a year.

I'm not sure about the rules for the cedars new grad. Just call them tomorrow and find out. You will definitely know for sure. Please share the answers with us. I'm curious to know too...

BTW CONGRATULATIONS for the NCLEX!!!

I called the hospital on April 22, I asked to be transfer to the nursing recruitment office. The person I spoke with gave an e-mail where I sent my resume. Now I'm waiting for the phone interview and/or open house! I did not use a link. I notice that Cedars application process is very informal, at least for this upcoming class...

I'm not even sure what to think with Cedars. I submitted my resume on April 27th, but I never received an email back. Suddenly, out of the blue, they called me today to give me a phone interview. It kinda sucks since I wasn't prepare AT ALL, and I told her that I never heard back from anyone. Anyways, I hope that through all my nervousness, I was still able to provide sufficient answers.

Has anyone get invitation for the open house? I called HR today. They said they were still in the process of selecting candidates. Just cross our fingers. Hope everyone good luck!

What a horrible way to have an interview! That must have really been a shock.

I was told on May 2 that I would be called in a few weeks and am still waiting. No email on the open house yet either, altho I would think that would follow the interview.

I just finished the phone interview. Only 10 questions! The lady told me that the invitations to the open house will happen next week.

i just want to let u guys know that I got the invitation for the open house on June 8 last May 9th. I don't know the how is their process but just like others,I just sent the nurse recruiter my resume.I have ADN.good luck to everyone.

Cool!! Did the invitation for the Open House say anything about how we interview!? Do we interview for our unit of choice or what??
