did you get the chance to give them your resumé at least? it's tough and it's definitely frustrating. don't say that django, we didn't sacrifice our time, money, and effort just to get paid like we didn't go school for nursing. i'm actually tempted to take a job as a caregiver but that won't even count as an experience. i hope we get an invitation from hospitals in time for fall 2011 new grad rn program have you considered relocating to another state if there's an opportunity?

how did you find out about the fair? did they send you an email? or an invitation?

i got the same exact message too. it sounds like one of those auto reply away messages. did you reply to the email and ask more questions?

i didn't know there is a job fair going on and i haven't been to one either. i'm based in san diego so i don't think i'll make it if i leave now and besides, like you mentioned, i don't think they're looking for new grads. it's a tough market out there. i posted my inquiry last friday and got an email monday morning that my name has been put on the waiting list. i'm not sure how long the wait though. it could be until the next new grad program, i'm not sure.

Sometimes it is who you know and who can vouch you. Gone are the days when they would give nurses sign in bonuses. I graduated in October 2010, took the NCLEX and got my license in April and submitted close to 50 applications online. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the RN New Grad Program this Fall 2011. I will take whichever offers me a job!

I believe they'll start sending out invitations and rejection letter starting on the 27th of May. Let's all keep our fingers crossed and pray that we all get the good news. It's tough!
