I honestly don't know what's going on at Cedars!!!! How can they tell you they don't have the final list yet and at the same time we know they already called people! Something doesn't add up!

Honestly I think they're done, it doesn't take that long to call 80 people, I just wish they would be more straightforward with people and stop playing with our hopes :crying2:

No, don't lose all hope yet. I just called too and she said they haven't even gotten the final list from the Nursing Education Office.

Exactly! It is a hard job to call 80 people but, honestly, someone could do it in 2 days. I just spoke to my friend who works there and did the new grad program 2 cohorts ago and she was shocked they haven't contacted me. She's going to to try to see what's up. I'll let you know when I hear from her and/or if I get rejected.

Actually, they are done with the selection process. My friend, who works in HR, already saw the list of 80 last Friday. All that they're doing right now is dividing the 80 into 3 cohorts. That's why each cohort has 25-30.

Are you sure, Mamda? It seems so strange to me that they would tell me twice on the phone that they aren't done with the selection process but that your friend saw the list of 80 people chosen... Did she tell you if you're on the list?

I really don't know at what game they are playing at CSMC. I wish it was easy to get my mind off this whole recruitment thing, unfortunately I can't help it. I really think that they are done calling the 80 people they want. They are just trying to be cautious in case some new hire fail the background check or resign or something like that. No one on this thread received a call since yesterday. I'm just being realistic guys. I really don't wanna think about it any more. It's sooo depressing!!!

Has anyone actually talked to R.L. (Nurse recruiter) about this whole thing. It seems weird that we are all hearing different things and I'm guessing its just a miss communication between HR. But with that being said, I am also losing hope :/

I have not talked to RL. I thought about emailing her specifically. Maybe I will. I don't want to seem like I'm pestering them though.

R.L. is very good about not getting annoyed and replying right away. I think it's about time someone email her instead of us calling HR and getting different messages. I honestly don't think they're done hiring because no one has posted or heard ANYTHING about the August cohort... correct me if I'm wrong. :nuke:

you're right, no one on this thread got a call for the August cohort, but it's also true that ony a few people on this thread got a call, so it's possible that they have already called their chosen 80 and no one of us was picked....sad but unfortunately possible :crying2:

I don't want to be negative but it just seems to me that it doesn't really take this long to notify 80 people......hopefully I'm wrong.....

If not this week I'm hoping next week we will hear back. All I can do is hope for the best. Until told otherwise there is still a chance maybe. Till then, trying best to keep myself occupied with my phone by my side ofcourse. hehe

I'm 110% sure willowlove. My friend called me early morning Friday to tell me that me and my other friends are not on the list. I already knew there were 80 ppl chosen even before someone posted it in here. I was hoping that she read the wrong list.. But when someone posted here that she/he spoke to HR and was told about the 80, well then, it confirmed that they already had the list completed since last Friday and that I'm not on it..

I think she is right about having the list finalized. I know at least 12 people who have been hired for the August 15th cohort. Everyone I know that applied has already been offered a position. I would email R just to confirm. They also have a winter cohort so you can ask her how you can make your application stronger for the next time. Good luck everyone!

well I guess they're really done then. Unless someone turns down the offer I think we can just forget about Cedars........too bad because it is really an amazing hospital.

It's really hard and competitive to get jobs as new grads, if I can give you a word of advice is to not limit yourself with new grads programs only. Apply to regular RN positions, even if it says experience preferred. Yes I know it's ideal to start in a new grad program but it's definetely not the only way.

Today I had my first day of orientation at this hospital in San Diego and there were at least 5 or 6 new grads so there are jobs out there even if they're very few......
