  1. Majan - check your inbox's for this website... I sent you a message
  2. Thanks TLS. I recently just graduated, but the waiting game is definitely the most difficult part! You'll get one soon! UCSD opened a while ago, try looking there! :)
  3. I also did not have a preceptorship in ICU, but did have critical care as a course to achieve my BSN and had a semester or rotations through the MICU. However, I did have a preceptorship/externship on an Acute Surgical Floor with telemetry. I also thought the interview was a little rough, but am blessed with the news and can't wait to start. Majan RN - I actually haven't checked online yet, but SC told me that it wouldn't be available till tomorrow - so I'll just wait to do it then. Do you live near by or are you planning to relocate? I live around 100 miles away and am looking to move, but I have no clue where to go! So crazy that we have less than a month till the start date!!
  4. HEY EVERYONE!!!! I JUST GOT A CALL AND ACCEPTED THE POSITION!!! I am so gracious at this moment! I hope the both of you also get calls within the next few days. I was interviewed on the first day possible, so they definitely aren't done calling yet. Good luck to you!! Let me know what the verdict is :)
  5. They asked me a lot of questions too... my interview was just over an hour long.
  6. Interview went well! Such a beautiful hospital, and both the manager and supervisor are so nice. Do you know exactly how many they are interviewing? I asked and they are only hiring 4, so its a slim chance for all of us! Fingers crossed.
  7. I am from Southern California, but a bit north from UC Irvine. My interview is on Monday at 4:30. I guess no one wants to shed light about their UCI interview experiences so I wish us all three some luck!! When are your interviews?
  8. hi patteRN, I also applied to the SICU and have an interview within the next few weeks. I've had several interviews but this will be my first large panel interview and don't know what kind of questions to expect. I'm getting nervous!
  9. Hey all! Just wondering, has anyone been hired by Mercy?? and specifically for the trauma unit? Thanks. And congrats to all those who have already received calls :)
  10. Haha, I accidently went and emailed her too before I read this thread. Whoops. Well, I like willowloves post the best. :/ I'll let you all know what she replies back to me, but I'm guessing it will be the same
  11. Has anyone actually talked to R.L. (Nurse recruiter) about this whole thing. It seems weird that we are all hearing different things and I'm guessing its just a miss communication between HR. But with that being said, I am also losing hope :/
  12. My phone interview was also pretty short, but I'm thinking everyone's was... You can't elaborate too much on only 3 questions, and the person interviewing us wasn't even a nurse, so its just supposed to be short and sweet. The interviewer told me that a week after my interview the status should change from "in process" to either... "App in review" or "not selected." So pugs4me... Congrats! I don't know if this means you are guarenteed a panel interview, but i know its not bad news... :)
  13. Have any of you guys that are selected said your area of interest in the ICU (and specifically surgical ICU?). Thanks!
  14. Yes, I did ask this at the open house. You are committed as a new grad the first 4 months of training. After that 4 months, you sign another agreement that will keep you at the hospital for another 18-20 months. At least that is what I understood her trying to explain! haha
  15. Nursekat.... what unit did you say as your area of interest. Same question goes to the rest of you! Good look to us all. Lets pray for phone calls within the next 2 days.
