Cedars-Sinai New Grad Summer 2012

U.S.A. California

Is anyone planning on applying to Cedars' new grad program this summer? I heard the applications will go up mid-March but so far there's nothing. I read on past threads that their application process is different from other programs so it would be nice to keep in touch and see how it goes for everyone.

I got my email! My interview slot is 2:30pm. What time is everyone else's?

Hey guys,

I got invited to the interview for 3p.m., but I never received a phone interview or 5 references. Did this happen to anyone else?

@julieg902,

I got invited to the interview for 4pm, but I never received a phone interview or 5 references as well. Weird...

I was told there were 50 new grad positions. and i think its the same as last years event. you're put in a room with all these other new grads. you wait until your name is called. and you interview one on one with your interviewer. there's about 20 interviews going on at the same time, if not more. it's one gigantic room so you might even be sitting next to someone else having their interview about 7-8 feet away. and you'll be asked about 10 questions. good luck everyone!!

Thank you! yeah i heard its like speed dating =(

haha speed dating. good one! that's about accurate haha

Same here. I never received a phone interview or 5 skills. But somewhere, I got an interview for the open house.

I also got invited to the open house without a phone interview or a request for 5 additional references. I am really excited to be interviewing with Cedars! I'm not sure what unit to put on my portfolio though. Ultimately I am interested in ICU (I am doing my immersion in an ICU) but I know that you can't work in an ICU at Cedars for a while. I was wondering if any of you guys were considering ICU and which unit we should select.....

Lucky you! I now question the importance of those skills surveys...and hope my references didn't devote too much time to them. 5 references is a lot.

Good luck!
