Cedars-Sinai New Grad Summer 2012

U.S.A. California

Published

Is anyone planning on applying to Cedars' new grad program this summer? I heard the applications will go up mid-March but so far there's nothing. I read on past threads that their application process is different from other programs so it would be nice to keep in touch and see how it goes for everyone.

Did everyone get a 2nd interview? i want to make sure what my chances are. haha =P

honestly i was so glad i had the second interview... i think it really helped me. she was extremely friendly and asked many questions. i thought i did horrible on my first interview.

In my second interview it did feel rushed at the end, when she just cut off and said it was over. There was no opportunity for me to ask questions, but I feel better that it was more than just a few minutes. She basically told me that only med-surg units were hiring. She didn't think peds was accepting new hires and that more experience was needed for ED.

So do you guys know how to contact the people that interviewed you? did anyone get interviewed by nita armstrong and lily (didnt get her last name :( ) and have their email address or something?

My interviewer didn't want anymore emails.

Has anybody heard anything recently about when we are expected to be notified about our application status?

Anybody know if we should expect phone calls or emails? I feel out of the loop!

hi everyone, best of luck with your offers! i'm planning to apply for the new grad program next summer but also trying to plan my wedding then. do any of you know when the new grad program begins for this year?

thanks so much!

Perioddrama posted earlier in the thread: "I think it's actually early July, mid July, and August as the start dates."

From last year's thread it looks like their start dates were July 11, July 25, and August 15.

I heard we should hear back somtime this week. They contact you by phone. I heard also that you start out in Med-Surg for orientation stuff and then can apply for your area of interest. I wrote my thank you letter to the nurse recruiter and the lady who gave me the second interview. Best of luck to everyone. I haven't hear anything back yet about the job....

I saw posted on FB that some people received emails today. Anyone get a phone call? I thought we wouldn't hear anything until at least next week.

I received a rejection email yesterday. I think no news is good news. I imagine those who are offered jobs will probably get a call.

they already started sending rejection emails and I know of one person who got called for a job offer yesterday. fingers crossed!
