Sorry to crash your thread. Firstly, good luck to those still in limbo. Secondly, I'm from last summer's new grad program and I will be moving out of my 2bd/2bth apartment. My roommate needs someone to replace me. If you get an offer (CONGRATS) and need a place, I have a good size room and private bath and live within walking distance of Cedars. I'm in the first cohort and called and e-mailed questions as well...imagine that x 60+ new grads. I believe that there's also only one person working on our paperwork.

I'll be around July 14 weekend to look at places if you plan it then. Can't wait to hear more about orientation already!

Though I do not have 2-3 yrs experience, I imagine that you should be able to find a per diem position or work through an agency, since bay area hospitals seem to prefer hiring nurses this way rather than the old fashioned lets-train-the-new-nurse way. When I had clinicals at a large hospital in the south bay area, two traveling nurses on my floor (with about 2 yrs exp) were offered full-time positions after a couple of months.

I remember coming back from the interview and telling my SO that I won't get my hopes up since there were so many great candidates there. I'm excited and nervous. So...after the online application, we just sit tight til we get further directions, right?

I'm sorry to hear that. I agree that doing an interview is an accomplishment in itself, and we will never know the exact reasons why we don't get selected. So much is out of our control, and as long as we can say we're doing everything within our power, we just let this long, awful, frustrating job hunt take its course.
