Cedars-Sinai New Grad Summer 09

Hey everyone!

Just thought we could start a thread for those of us who interviewed for Cedars-Sinai's new grad program this past week.

has anyone else heard any thing or gotten in? i just called and they said they said they havent made decisions yet and to wait 2-3 weeks... also there may be as many as 250 positions available depending on the managers decisions with over 1500 interviewed..

Yes, my girlfriend got called today. She got a job and starts July 20!

as much as i hate the waiting game re:2-3 weeks of additional wait, the fact that there could be as many as 250 hires has shed some hope into my grim job search...

i'm wondering though, with someone just being hired today and another being told to wait due to ongoing decision making... is this why the paper says hiring july through august? is it possible that a cohort of people starts earlier... *crossing fingers*

when i got interviewed, the manager said that they will notify us sometime this month and the new grad program starts in july.

"yesdog" quick question.. does your girlfriend already have her license or she's a new grad waiting to take a board?? and AA or BSN?? just curious...

She does not have her license yet. She takes the NCLEX on July 6. She has an MSN with a 3.7 GPA.

my GPA only 3.52 with AA .. hope that's enough to get a call ..

Aiyyyaiyyaaaaai... 2-3 MORE weeeks....:crying2:

I too have not been graced by any phone calls...

as for the interview letters, I sent mine in via hardcopy... did anyone else send theirs in? I sent it through the nurse recruitment office with an RE: for my interviewer.

Thanks for the info on the actual numbers! So 250/over 1500= less than 16% chance of getting it...yikes!

Anyone else hear anything??

Yesdog, good for her! Hey is she in the EL-MSN program? I'm in one of those too, 'cept I passed my NCLEX in Feb and am still doing my MSN. Is she done with her MSN or is still working on it?

Also, my friend is starting in July also! She's also in the EL-MSN program, but she got hired in January! They said that there is another start date scheduled for early august...that's what I want cuz I have summer school, but hey I'll take July! :p

yes the flyer i was sent in my email that had my interview appt said the RN New Grad Training Programs start July AND August.....hopefully you're right and they call by thursday!
