Just thought we could start a thread for those of us who interviewed for Cedars-Sinai's new grad program this past week.

I just called HR again. They told me that they ARE hiring ADN in this batch and they had around 150 openings to start late August/early September. They also said that they are not done calling the selected people.

flywithme2nyte, I haven't received anything neither.Do you know the dress code? I plan to buy scrubs but don't know their dress code. Don't know if print scrubs are ok.

I'm not sure. I only spoke with the receptionist so I don't know how accurate that information is.

I called a hour ago, the lady told me to allow another 2 weeks. Don't know how accurate. Don't lose hope. My friend is still waiting.

Hey!!

I was just offered a position yesterday for the August 17th start date. I'm from Massachusetts and just graduated from Umass Amherst with my BSN. I dont know anyone from LA and would love to hear of anyone else moving from out of state. If anyone has any advice on the best places to live that would be helpful! Also, if anyone is looking for a roomate let me know. I know there is alot of stuff on craigslist, but it might be nice living with someone in the program.

Congratulations cmpelleg! That is so great for you!

But, on the other hand, doesn't it seem kind of weird that Cedars would hire from out of state since there is such a need for new grad nursing positions in SoCal? It seems strange to me that they are not supporting the nursing school pool of grads from SoCal. Just my thought.
