Cedars-Sinai New Grad Program???

The other day I was on the cedars-sinai website looking at jobs when I noticed they had posted a new grad program job listing. I applied and received an e-mail confirming my application. I went on today to check my status and it said I never applied to the job... then when I checked for the listing, it was also gone! Does anyone know what happened? Did they cancel the program or something?

I'm slightly confused...

i just got an email back for an interview on friday...really short notice...since i live in wash d.c. so there's basically no way i can get there for friday...im going to try to reschedule...but we'll see how that work out. :/

Good luck for your trip! I am wondering how they schedule the appointment. Do they do it based on your last name or the location? I may call HR to confirm it :nurse:

yeah...I can't go though...I am still in school and therefore I cannot fly out to LA with only three days notice...So maybe I can reschedule?

I received my email on the 6th, and emailed them back right away, and I still have not heard back from them. I guess it is just taking them a long time to process everything? Little more comforting to know that other people haven't heard back right away either...

I just called the HR today. They said there are tons of people need schedule for interview. They tell us to be patient and wait...I think it will come to us soon.

Still no phone interviews? I received my email on the seventh (9 days ago) and haven't heard anything back yet. Did anyone else who was asked to conduct a phone interview hear anything back?

Any one heard back anything this week? I replied mine on 4/5/2010, no reply yet. The process takes pretty long.

^^ wow, it sounds like they are purposely giving short notice for interviews. I wonder if they're doing that as part of the "weeding out" process, in hopes that people can't make the interview time...

i still haven't received my interview time yet but I guess I should be prepared to do some last minute preparing/traveling... eek.

I was thinking the same LinRdsNay. I don't mind it, but it's unfortunate for those that don't live in the L.A. area.. I luckily don't have any class today.. Good luck I hope you get yours soon! I have mine later today, I wasn't nervous but I think the nervousness is setting in now haha..

if you live far enough away they really should give you a phone interview... i still haven't gotten an e-mail with an interview time and i responded on 4/7 - the day after I received my e-mail... i'm DYING to talk to someone!!! for those that have interviews, let us know how they go!

I responded the next day as well. I had my interview today. I was told you need a 3.5 cumulative GPA, my nursing GPA is well over that but not cumulative. So I think that tosses me out of the bunch. They are hiring 50 new grads. I felt my interview went really well.. oh well better luck next time! Maybe my personality is enough to get me in! haha.. It was a great experience and they were very friendly :)
