Cedars-Sinai New Grad Program???

Published

The other day I was on the cedars-sinai website looking at jobs when I noticed they had posted a new grad program job listing. I applied and received an e-mail confirming my application. I went on today to check my status and it said I never applied to the job... then when I checked for the listing, it was also gone! Does anyone know what happened? Did they cancel the program or something?

I'm slightly confused...

linRdsNay, i had the same person i think haha I didn't look down at my scores.. i should have now that I think about it.. How was the scoring? What was maximum points?

The same with me I do agree it seemed like at the beginning she was doing about five min interviews and by the time I got to her it was less than a minute!! I saw she wrote down that she recommend me did she writ that for everyone?!!? Not sure if I should get excited or not!

Wow that is great!! I am glad that others also had short interviews with her haha it makes me more at ease.. Are you already licensed zanca3?

kinkajou, I am not yet licences I take my boards June 4 but it will be fore South Carolina I have been trying to contact the CA state boards to ask them the best way to apply for licensure but they keep disconnecting me!! do you have any suggestions?

hi zanca3, you would have to apply for endorsement which takes a bit of time because you have to submit papers, etc. here's the CA BRN link Board of Registered Nursing - Licensure by Endorsement

wow, so you traveled from south carolina for the 2nd interview? thats great! my first interview lasted about 30 min i think, and then i had a second interview with the guy which lasted about 5 minutes or less! he just asked me about customer service and generic questions. i hope everything works out!

Thanks It seems like either way it will take forever for my paperwork to go thrue!!! I hope everything will be done in time if i get hired!!

same with me..my first one was like 20 mins and the second was like 5 mins..pretty exciting! i def do not think everyone got 2 interviews tho...that would take a pretty long..there was so many people there.

good luck to everyone!

^ I agree. I heard some people saying that their friends left after the first interview because they weren't told of the 2nd interview. Also, they had a whole stack of portfolios of people they had called for 2nd interviews and were no longer there.

it seemed like there were more than 200 people there, but who knows...it was an interesting interview experience to say the least

I heard having the 2nd interview is a good sign..and that we will hear back in 2-3 weeks! Good luck everyone http://img.an-file.info/smilies/wink.gif

2-3 weeks feels like an eternity. My original interview was at the beginning of April! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that people start to hear in 2 weeks instead of 3.

I'm so glad that other people had short interviews with the directors! The director who interviewed me was concerned about my patho and physio grades, so I'm worried.

For the interview with the manager, I saw that the grading sheet had a section for total points (I got 66, but I have no idea what the total is) and a scale from 1-5, 5 being highly recommended to the program.

For the life of me, I can't remember the start date of the new grad program. Does anyone know? All I remember is that we need to have our licenses at the beginning of July.

A comment was made about my micro grade which I took 4 years ago which was before nursing school. I don't see how that grade can be that important since I did great in nursing school. Plus I was working... Tclu don't be too worried, stay positive. :) know you did your best!!!!
