Just wanted to kick this one off for all those who are applying so that we can all lean on one another. So nervous!
I thought I had a relatively solid application (years of volunteer experience, good grades, clinical experience outside of school, glowing letters of rec), but after my rejection from UCLA last week, I'm not so sure anymore. ?
Got a referral this time around, but the referral told me to still apply to other facilities because it's fairly competitive at Cedars.
For those of you who accepted offers at Cedars, have you heard anything about our actual orientation schedule/ time? I know the start date is august 9th but I was wondering if anyone has gotten an actual orientation schedule yet and if every unit will be similar the first week. Thank you! ?
I just got my onboarding email for the 8/9 start date and it came with a schedule, so connect with your onboarding rep if it hasn't come in yet.
It looks like the first 2 days are remote learning with Healthstream.
So it sounds like we get 8/11-8/13 off for the rest of that first week?
Did anyone apply before passing the NCLEX? It says you need to have your RN already, but others who work there said to apply anyway. I tried, but I think it will consider my application incomplete.

I applied at 4:30 this morning but I just checked and still saw the link. Go to the careers page and search “new grad” it should come up. I hope this helps

Yes, I saw the application go up at about 3am. I tried to submit it, but when it got to the license info section, it would not let me submit without it. I even tried to fill in all zeros because I heard I should apply anyway. It didn't work. The full application needs to be complete. My exam is later this month. I marked my calendar for the next cohort. Application date is 11/8

Hi, I just joined, and saw your comment. I'm not sure if you already found your employee ID number, but it should have been emailed by HR (Aug 4) and by your Onboarding Recruiter (Aug 5). If you haven't received it yet, you can reach out your recruiter. Hope this helps.
Hey, has anyone heard from their department manager yet. I received an email Aug 4th informing me that I would hear from my manager regarding my first day on the unit.
Also has anyone been granted assess to the "Service Center" by getting their portal login info?
