Cedars Sinai New Grad August 2021 Cohort

Updated:   Published

Just wanted to kick this one off for all those who are applying so that we can all lean on one another. So nervous!

I thought I had a relatively solid application (years of volunteer experience, good grades, clinical experience outside of school, glowing letters of rec), but after my rejection from UCLA last week, I'm not so sure anymore. ?

Got a referral this time around, but the referral told me to still apply to other facilities because it's fairly competitive at Cedars.

Good luck, everyone!!

Hello would anyone be able to say what the base rate / differential for new grads at Cedars is at as of now?

For those who got hired as a new grad, how much is the starting pay?

Hello! Just received an email regarding the connectivity test. Does anyone have any tips for the interview questions ?

Hi! I also received an email for the connectivity test. Looking for recommendations on how I can be successful during the interview.

Just to help clarify - the connectivity test is not the interview, so it's nothing to stress out about. It's to make sure there are no issues with the tech that you're using for your Microsoft Teams interview in September.

All you have to do is make sure you have WiFi, click on the link with the laptop/phone/desktop you plan to use for your Teams interview, turn on your web cam, and unmute your mic and say "Here" when they call your name during role call. This way, their team can troubleshoot if you're having any audio visual problems w/ your laptop or having issue with your Teams.

There aren't any interview questions and it's super quick - like 15-20 minutes, I think. I believe I've even seen some future interviewees logging in from work in their scrubs from their phones.

Once you answer "here" and confirm that your audio and visual work, your connectivity test is complete and you can log off and go back to your day.

Hello to those who were in the August 2021 cohort, I'll be joining the new grad program for cedars on October 2021!

Now that you guys have started this program, are there any tips you want to give to the incoming cohort?

Is there something you wish you have prepared earlier for?

What do you find difficult for you so far?

What do you love/hate about it so far?

Thank you in advance!! ?
