The Trump administration is prohibiting officials at the nation's top public health agency from using a list of seven words or phrases - including "fetus" and "transgender" - in any official documents being prepared for next year's budget.Policy analysts at the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta were told of the list of forbidden words at a meeting Thursday with senior CDC officials who oversee the budget, according to an analyst who took part in the 90-minute briefing. The forbidden words are "vulnerable," "entitlement," "diversity," "transgender," "fetus," "evidence-based" and "science-based."
CDC gets list of forbidden words: fetus, transgender, diversity - The Washington Post
....
This is an attack on our very society itself. I could not believe it when I read it. I feel like a revolution may be inevitable if this trend continues. To ban the words "evidence-based" is beyond words for me to write.
ETA: The other words banned are: "vulnerable," "entitlement," "diversity," "transgender," "fetus," and "science-based." No less horrendous.
As requested, I'll stick to the topic at hand. I think as a group, we have concluded that the CDC banned the words, not President Trump. I see the title has changed to "per White House", which is still false, per CDC statements.
So I guess that is where I'll end it for this forum. I'll be finding the Donald Trump forum in the break room if you'd like to join me. And if you copy your comments there, I'll be happy to respond.
From article:
it's aimed at simple-minded White House hacks and ideologues in Congress
I see where you got your one liner. Except you decided to use conservatives instead.

I still find it concerning that a much needed national and international resource feels the need to remove particular words from its vocabulary and dumb it down so to speak to ensure it gets its next round of funding

Absolutely agree with you - and it has nothing to do with me.
What is, or should be, more concerning is that this topic was accepted as something that Trump or Trump's America is capable of with no thought that it could not be true.
