I am applying to CCRI nursing program in August for the spring. Anyone out there applying as well?
I've been following these threads without posting for a while, and I have to say the difference I see is that we don't have the same level of anxiety and worry that other's have had. That's due to I_Have_Answers kindly posting here. Once again, I'd like to thank you for cutting through the hearsay and letting us know exactly what is involved in the process. Thank you!
I registered for the CPR class and saw there was a link to the bookstore. However, I couldn't find a textbook listed when I clicked on it. I called the Lincoln bookstore and there *is* a textbook required. It's $16 and available at the front desk. Just an FYI in case anyone couldn't find it online like me.
I agree with the earlier comment that starting next semester there will be an influx of applicants and you will need a higher point total to get into the program than before. The fact is taking Physiology out of the equation, where students for the most part would find it hard to get an A or high grade in and having Psych, Anatomy and English count that much I feel like it's all about Anatomy. Pretty much if you get a good grade in Anatomy you will get in the program because Psych and English are 2 of the "easier" courses. Based on this let's see what happens next session but I am pretty confident that the low range for accepted students will be higher than 168.
The range for the fall 2015 was 165.2 to 198.2.
It really is dependent more on the size of the applicant pool. The spring semester programs are only two campus option where as the fall program has 4 campuses. They will accept double the number of students in the fall as they do for the spring so that means the points range will be wider.
Plus like I said, yes psychology is out, but there are many new restrictions that can disqualify a person during the application process.
Yes thank you for all your input.
i have 2 questions tho, what new restrictions would disqualify someone? U mean minimum grades in classes?
also for the fall admission since I can only apply for evening how does it work?
do the day applicants and night applicants get put in 2 different pools and someone with lower score in day can get in over someone with higher score in evening?
can you go through the process of fall applications and how that works?
thanks again
