I was thinking about it, but not sure if I will be able to do the day program. I'll most like ly have to wait until February to apply for the evening program.
Aw too bad! I believe in February the admission requirements will be changing again. I heard from my dosage teacher this summer that you will only need A&p, comp, intro to nursing to apply.
It figures they would change after all the hard work I've (and many others) have done! Not to mention I think lowering the requirements will make it so much more competitive. Who knows I may just apply in August and figure it out from there, that's if I even get in anyway. Did you take the HESI yet?

I am! So excited and nervous. If I don't get in this first time I'll be transferring to RIC and going right for my bachelor's
That is exactly what I said it is not fair that we did all the pre-requirements and now they changed it. But no I have my schedule for the 20th. I am super nervous to take it hopefully I do well. I think you should apply in August tho why not. I'm nervous to apply in August too praying and hoping I get in if not I'll just have to reapply in February. Are you done with yours hesi?
I was looking at RIC too. But who knows I'll have to wait and see. Praying I get in my first try!!í ½í¹í ½í¹í ½í¹
What campus are you girls applying to?
I will be applying to Lincoln. I took the hesi back in May. I got a 90% overall. Not as good as I hoped I'd do but it's ok. I'm applying with 163 points. My cousin graduated from ric and has been an rn for 8 years and has been really trying to get .r to go to ric. So that's why I'm applying to ccri still since I've put so much time and effort into it and if I don't get it I'll take the classes I need and go to ric. I figure by the time I graduate no one will be hiring associates degree nurses. It's unfortunate but it's a fact.
That's great! I will be applying to Lincoln too. I totally understand tho, I was thinking that because eventually I will go back for my BS if I did get in at CCRI and get my associates. Is the hesi hard? Been studying the review book hoping I do well.
I really can't say that it's hard. It's really just basic knowledge that u just need to brush up on. I bought the ebook by Elsevier which is the company who makes the hesi. I feel like as long as you're reviewing those topics you'll do fine. I can always say for myself that I could've done better, but us nursing students are never satisfied with our grades lol. But once we're in the program, it's all about passing. My cousin repeats that to me constantly.
