CCRI Spring 2016 Applicants! Who's with me

Published

I am applying to CCRI nursing program in August for the spring. Anyone out there applying as well?

Hi I_have_answers,

I was wondering if you knew why they changed the requirements for 2016, they seem a bit easier, which is concerning because I think there will be an influx of applications now that Physiology has been omitted. Also, regarding the GPA portion of the new requirement, is it the overall cumulative GPA, or the program GPA that will be considered? Thanks for all of your helpful information in the past couple of weeks. Unfortunately I did not make it in this round, but congrats to all that did.

I had 166.6 points and did not get in . Based on previous years,Do you think there is any chance of a spot opening up if someone does not get all of the requirements done in time or just decides not to go. If so when would we know if that was to happen?

I was accepted into Lincoln Day. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1493424427624607/

Jessica1216, next year they will use the cumulative GPA so that means your entire academic history can affect what you get for GPA points.

I can't really speak on why the changes were made but I don't agree that it's going to be easier. There are many other conditions that have been added. Please review the nursing admissions guidelines for the next class.

I_have_answers is there someone or somewhere we can go to discuss the health requirements due 10/21? I found the form to be very confusing and would appreciate someone telling me exactly what I need for a few of the items!!

If someone decides not to take their spot, then they will go to the list and start offering a spot to the non accepted students according to points. So your chance depends on how many students decline, or fails to meet the additional requirements.

Kim, yes.

Go to the CCRI admissions site and look for the link to information sessions.

The person leading these sessions will be able to answer all your questions.

You can also talk to an academic advisor.

Thank you! I tried finding an information session as you advised, but it keeps saying "no session found" regardless of what campus I select. If I call advising, will they be able to direct me? Sorry for so many questions, I am just nervous because we have such little time to complete this! Thank you!

Kim I'll let them know that there are no sessions available.

To those that didn't get in.. please don't get discouraged. I know how it feels, I didn't get in my 1st time & felt so bummed. I took a class again & got in this time. Just wanted to send some encouragement because I know it sucks to get the bad news. Don't give up if this is really your career goal.

You should see information sessions if you choose fall 2015 as a term.

My doctor can't see me until 10/13/15 :/ Is that cutting it too close to the deadline?
