CCBC Fall 2022

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi!

I'm starting this thread for anyone who is applying to CCBC (Community College of Baltimore County) for the Fall of 2022.

This will be my THIRD and absolutely LAST time applying here. I met with an advisor, got lots of info, and am retaking the TEAS next week.

Feel free to join me here ?

Hey there I am also applying for fall 2022- hybrid. Good luck!

Hi! I also applied as well. I am pursuing the ATB program.

How did the TEAS go?

That's great! Which campus?

@edtoBnurse

How did the TEAS go?

I was completely shocked....I got a 100% on the math and 96% on Reading. BUT...I started blacking out during the science portion and my battery died during English so I only got an 80.7 overall ??

This is my typical life...

Which ATB did you apply to?

I applied to CCBC Essex and Towson University to do the ATB program. Also, those scores are amazing!!

Hi everyone! I applied to Essex days and already getting antsy. I’m not sure how the next 6-8 weeks are going to go since I just want to know now!

I am kind of especially nervous because of my very unsuccessful early beginnings when I started college. I failed and withdrew from a lot of classes. I turned things around and ended up getting a 4.0 last semester. My CCBC GPA (after repeating classes with F and W) is 3.71 and I’ve gotten all As and Bs in science courses but ended up with a C in English 101. My TEAS score was pretty good at 88.7. Honestly I really feel like it could go either way.

Good luck to everyone!!

I think that’s great! The advisor I spoke with said they only look at the GPA for the prerequisites and the TEAS score.

That's a great GPA and test score! I was told by my advisor and it is on the ccbc website that if you retake a course and do better, the new grade will replace the old one. The worse grade will also not be included in your GPA but will still show up on your transcript. I am kind of in the same same boat, I received my A.A. back in 2017 and had to retake A&P 1 and 2 to improve my C's to A's. If you completed all the prerequisites I think you have nothing to worry about!

Does anyone happen to know how many seats there are for blended?

Also, I just received 2 emails from Shp around 430 first saying my application was under review, and then a second saying it was processed and considered to be complete. Anyone else?

Finally, I can not see my supplemental application on simon. I'm going to email them to see what is going on with that.

There are 22 seats for the hybrid/blended program, 40 for evening/weekend, and about 65 for both day programs (each)

I also emailed them about the supplemental app and they said they are aware. Glad I'm not the only one who had trouble!

What supplemental application are you talking about? Is there another application we must turn in on top of the SHP CAS application? I just finished typing out my other undergrad degree and really don't want to have to do another application LOL.
