CCAC Spring 2010

Published

Just curious if any who have applied have heard if they've been accepted to CCAC Nursing program for Spring 2010 admittance?

Also, does anyone out there know what the likelihood is of getting your fist choice?

lucky to get my 1st choice, my number came up about 1/2 way through the lottery. Took Section 4

Does anyone mind telling me what their GPA was who was accepted? I have a 2.9 and was wondering if that was too low.

If you read back through this thread, probably the first ten pages, some people posted their GPA's.

I got option #2. It was my first choice. Here is my schedule anyone wanna buddy up let me know Im scared lol.

Hi Don, I am confused by your post. How did you get your schedule already when orientation for CALU is this friday? Did you switch campuses?

I'm at Boyce. I got my first choice, Option #5.

Tuesday Theory 4-7pm

Wednesday Labs 3-6:20pm

Saturday Clinical 7am-3pm

I called about 2/3rds of the way through everyone, but apparently #5 wasn't that popular, because it was only about halfway filled up. I'm so excited but worried about getting all this stuff done before the deadline!

I'm leaving on the 17th for FL, and hopefully my child abuse clearance will arrive by then - it's the only thing I'm waiting on. I mailed it first class to Harrisburg today - if it takes exactly 14 days, then I will get it in the mail after I've flown out on the 17th. If I have to, I'll pay my neighbor to drive it out there for me!

Not to mention, none of my old doctors have my immunization records so I have to try calling my old schools. I'm sure it'll all come together, I hope everyone else is doing well with their requirements!

Betty,

I was switched from CALU to Boyce. There is a long story behind it, if you are interested PM me.

Don

I am 42 and a single mother of 3 children aged 10, 8 & 18 months. I work part time for Home instead senior care. When we start classes in January I will probably just do an on call schedule. (since we will be in classes 4 days a week)

bETTY,

How do you like working for Home Instead? They had some info for jobs posted at CCAC. I was thinking it might be good to work around my school schedule if my current job wont work with school.

Does anyone happen to know if all CCAC campus require the same books? I'm going to CALU day program and they havent given us a book list :crying2:

Avazofia,

Why don't you just have your Dr.s office draw titers from your blood? Thats what I had done and it proves immunity because I sure as hell can't find my immunizations either.

Sorry, the books vary from campus to campus. From what I am gathering, some have not completed choosing the text's. Rumor is in the next 10 days or so it should be complete. Books also are "supposedly" not available in the book store until the 4th of Jan I believe.
