I'm putting this page up pretttty early but only because I'm excited lol. I wanted to create a place for those applying next spring for fall 2019 to start to be able to talk about our journeys as we finish pre reqs or Co reps(all non nursing courses)for those shooting for the fast track at Boyce like myself! I'm currently for finishing up a summer semester of intermediate Algebra, intro to psych, and English 102. In the fall I'll be taking A&P 2 and human development, then finish off all non nursing courses with A&P 2 in spring 2019 and microbiology in summer 2019 just before fall start 😊. Where are you at on your journey?
I got the titers that are listed on the health form: MMR, Varicella, Hep B, Hep C, etc.
If you’ve had your three part series for Hep B done when you were an infant and such. You should be okay when your titer results come in. Your titers will tell you if your immunity is low/neg/pos and whatever the case. That’s when you will need boosters (if it’s low).
I think castlebranch just wants lab proof that you’re immune/positive to the immunizations they’re asking for... I uploaded my titers for all of them, as my results were shown as positive.. but castlebranch rejected them so now I’m not even sure. This is all super confusing.
I spent an hour on hold with CastleBranch after mine got rejected because I was confused too.
The college requires BOTH a positive titer AND the dates of your series. So if received the full series when you were a baby/toddler and have proof of those dates, you submit a report with those dates and your current titer.
If you don't have proof of any dates that is when you need to start the series AND submit the titer.
For the vast majority, your elementary school or secondary school would have required these vaccinations before you could attend. I called my pediatrician office and they had a deep dark archive of my vaccination records. I hope this helps, it's a frustrating process but you're so close!

They just rejected mine stating they need both. Should I just call? Is that what you did? It's frustrating bc my records were lost in Hurricane Katrina. I really don't want to have to repeat it bc I am immune.

Idk. I'm confused bc someone mentioned having to do Hep B series as well as getting titers. Is Immunity not enough?
