CCAC FALL 2019 Hopefuls!

I'm putting this page up pretttty early but only because I'm excited lol. I wanted to create a place for those applying next spring for fall 2019 to start to be able to talk about our journeys as we finish pre reqs or Co reps(all non nursing courses)for those shooting for the fast track at Boyce like myself! I'm currently for finishing up a summer semester of intermediate Algebra, intro to psych, and English 102. In the fall I'll be taking A&P 2 and human development, then finish off all non nursing courses with A&P 2 in spring 2019 and microbiology in summer 2019 just before fall start 😊. Where are you at on your journey?

I never received an email or paper mail at all. If I hadn't logged in and seen the decision change to "nursing accepted" I wouldn't have known I got in. It doesn't look like anyone else from Allegheny Day has received further instruction thus far so I feel safe-ish. I am worried that with all of the glitches more information will slip through the cracks.

I just received acceptance to my 2nd choice program and have 1 week to let them know. If I haven't heard anything from CCAC by the deadline I might just accept. I don't want to delay nursing school because a glitchy system can't send information correctly.

Hey guys!! Just got the informational packet for Boyce Campus in the mail! Never got an email or anything though! Our course registration will be on MAY 23rd from 5 pm to 8 pm in room W-411. The attendance is MANDATORY!

North Campus friends, what is everyone's schedule like?

Tuesday 5pm 110 Lecture then 7pm 120 Lab, Wednesday 5pm 120 Lecture then 6pm 110 Lab, Saturday Clinicals, Thursday A&P 2 at Allegheny Campus.

How is everyone doing on their Castle Branch? I just got 2 shots and my tb test and my shoulders are so sore. I'm trying to figure out how to upload my license and proof of vaccinations. Could I just scan it and upload it that way?

I downloaded the castlebranch app on my phone which lets me take a picture of my documents to upload. It works out great. I haven’t gotten my tigers done yet but have everything else but those and the fingerprints done. Are you at north campus? I have 5pm 110 lecture on Tuesday too if your at North.

So far I have Child Line, Fingerprints done. Haven't done my physical but I'll just walk in at MedExpress. They said Vaccine Titers take 4 days so not worried about that. My FBI clearance will come back in like 2 days bc I literally just did it in April, so I think I'm all good. Irritated about the Workshops I'll need to attend bc they are during the day and I work fulltime.

I am at North, so I'll see you in class. My name is Megan btw. I wasn't able to download the CB App, maybe because I have an Android phone ugh

And finding time to do the CPR/AED was a little hard. I'm having to do it on a Saturday because literally nothing else worked with my FT work schedule too.

What do you mean by FBI clearance, is that the background check? Mine already came back. Only thing that seems to be dragging for me is the fingerprints. I take that back, the Hep B takes a while for all 3 shots too, and the wait to get my CPR card. What a mess.

I have everything done, just waiting for the drug test.

I had a lot of trouble with the TB screening. I tested positive when I was 14 and was treated so I just needed a chest X-ray. Got my X-ray but they commented on a recent rib fracture so CB kicked it back. Such a hassle
