CCAC FALL 2019 Hopefuls!

I'm putting this page up pretttty early but only because I'm excited lol. I wanted to create a place for those applying next spring for fall 2019 to start to be able to talk about our journeys as we finish pre reqs or Co reps(all non nursing courses)for those shooting for the fast track at Boyce like myself! I'm currently for finishing up a summer semester of intermediate Algebra, intro to psych, and English 102. In the fall I'll be taking A&P 2 and human development, then finish off all non nursing courses with A&P 2 in spring 2019 and microbiology in summer 2019 just before fall start 😊. Where are you at on your journey?

How is everyone doing on their Castle Branch? I just got 2 shots and my tb test and my shoulders are so sore. I'm trying to figure out how to upload my license and proof of vaccinations. Could I just scan it and upload it that way?

Were you the one I talked to when I was ordering my scrubs?

CastleBranch I have my clearance from DHS, fingerprints and background check done. I uploaded my license and a few vaccinations I have. I have a CPR card that is good until May 2020. I need to get a few vaccinations and my physical form back from my doctor.

Does anyone know if 2 vaccines for Hep B is acceptable by CastleBranch?

The requirement says '3 vaccinations AND a positive antibody titer (lab report required) to gain approval.' for Hep B. Can't get hold of them.

never mind. got my answer. 'You may complete the 2- dose series and this will fulfill the "3 vaccines" since it is complete series. You will need to provide your completed series and a titer dated after the vaccine series.'

Hey! Has anyone gotten their titers done yet? If so, could anyone give a girl some insight on where these could get done for low cost? They’re so expensive LOL! This is all I need left for castlebranch, and the drug test later in July of course. Also, does anyone know if the titers need to be quantitative or qualitative..

Hey future CCAC nurses! Just throwing this out there -- I have 2 sets of ccac nursing scrubs --- they are seriously like brand new. 2 XS scrub tops, 2 small petite bottoms, 1 XS scrub jacket. Anyone who is interested I'll sell all together for $25.

Also have a 3M Littmann Classic III Stethoscope, Matte Chestpiece, Black Tube that I'll part with for $75.

I’m kind of confused. I paid for the package included in our packet. On the confirmation it listed fingerprint as included. If this is true, why did I still have to pay for it in person?

don't really have an answer to your question, but I also paid for fingerprints.

If anyone else bought the textbook bundle and hasn't opened the box yet, do so and check each book carefully. I just got mine today and one of my books was completely detached from the binding.

2 questions...

1. What titer did your doctor test you for?

2. Is it just the nursing student health form and the the titers we upload?

I feel like it’s not enough lol and CB won’t except it.
