Opportunities for LPNs are highly dependent on the metro area in which you live.Looking to see what is available for LPNs.
Other than LTC, LPNs can also work in doctors offices, hospice, home health, private duty, psychiatric facilities, rehabilitation centers, addictions, group homes for the developmentally disabled, and some acute care hospitals. LPNs can also work at schools as instructors who teach in CNA and MA programs.
Politics in some way, shape or form are going to exist an any nursing arena that you work in, unfortunately. I have LPN friends who are working in home health or PDN, a little less "interaction" with management and coworkers, if you catch my drift...

I have worked since I was 15 years old. I have worked all types of retail, on the floor and supervisor/managerial positions. I became a CNA in 2005 and a LPN in 2007. I have worked in LTC since 2005 and I love working with people. I however do not like the politics of LTC. Looking to see what is available for LPNs.
