I just applied to Cape Fear's program yesterday and received an application packet...working on that now. Deadline is Nov 15. Just wondering who else applied or if anyone has any information regarding the program from past cohorts. This would be a great place to share your experiences and to encourage one another during the application process. Gluck!
I just got confirmation of an interview on 11/05 for the maternal/child FCCU residency position! I'm so stoked/nervous/stoked/nervous. I will let you all know how it goes; it would be neat if we all ended up working together! FYI: I applied mid June got an email with the packet info Oct 8th, returned the packet Oct 10th, and received an email about the interview this past Monday. I don't know anything about pay rate; as long as I get to start nursing and can afford to eat, I'm down![/quote']Gluck on your interview tomorrow!!!!
Thanks! I believe it went well. I was also interviewed for a surgical floor; I believe I was unofficially offered a position, but I guess they have to wait until after a background check before it becomes official. I'm so excited, everyone seemed super nice and I felt as though I could feel at home there...just a matter of knowing for sure so we can start the moving arrangements! Has anyone gotten an official confirmation? I forgot to ask the oh so important question of when should I expect to hear back. Also, does anyone know if all of the residency programs start in February or do they have different dates?
I just got my interview setup for Nov. 14th for med/surg. I will be travelling from Oregon and I really would like to get the residency. Do you guys know if I request phone interview, they might not agree or my chances of offer might go down? In short notice, the flight is expansive so I thinking to ask for phone interview.
How many people got offers from med/surg? Do you guys know how many they are hiring for med/surg? Some advice about med/surg interview would be appreciated.
