A med-surg RN learning the ED way
At the end of the day, you need to do what is right for your patient (and protect that license!), if YOU felt that you needed a time out prior to the procedure, I think you were correct to do so!

Finding a job as a New Grad RN in Akron, Ohio - Need Advce
I have lived in Akron my entire life, and just graduated from a BSN program. I think it depends on what kind of facility you want to work at. Many of the hospitals are requiring all new RN hires to have a bachelors. Akron is loaded with BSN-RN programs, so unfortunately, the area is cranking out more RN's than there are jobs right now =/ realistically, you might have a tough time getting a job there right now because of your ADN.

Question about applying to the BON/NCLEX...timeframe?
I'm graduating from my Nursing program in early May (in Ohio), but an applying for a Florida license, as well as taking the exam in Florida. Do i need to wait to i graduate to start the application or can i slowly start to gather all the pieces and send them in as i get them? EX: I need to be electronically fingerprinted in FL, the only time i can do that is mid-march, or two weeks after graduation....should i go ahead and submit my appplication now, fly down in march to get my prints done, then send my transcipts in may when i finish the program?? any info would help :)

Just took NCLEX for the second time. It ended at 230 questions.
Go here: https://www.nursys.com/ click on "licensure quick confirm" and type in your information. If it finds you, then you passed and have a license :) I know a few new grads who did this about 24-48hrs after taking their NCLEX.

What's the process for moving out of state after licensing??
I've been looking into moving out of state after I obtain my RN license next summer. My Significant other is in the Navy, which is my motivation to relocate. From what I understand, the student (me) should license in the state they went to school in (Ohio) and then transfer their license to the desired state. But when should i start applying for jobs? before or after i've gotten my license transferred? Do you think that the time spent moving and being unemployed will look poor on my resume? So i was wondering, did any of you get your first nursing job out of your home state? what was the process you went though? How long did it take to find a job? Any information or resources you can provide me would be really appreciated.
