Cape Fear Valley Residency Feb 2014

U.S.A. North Carolina

Published

I just applied to Cape Fear's program yesterday and received an application packet...working on that now. Deadline is Nov 15. Just wondering who else applied or if anyone has any information regarding the program from past cohorts. This would be a great place to share your experiences and to encourage one another during the application process. Gluck!

Lmonchin...have you been contacted for an interview?

Not yet I turned in my letter of intro and clinical question response on mon. Just waiting for now.

Thanks, that's good to hear! I applied to both.

I interviewed for FCCU and got an offer(along with my sister). I turned it down b/c we weren't in a good position to move, but my sister accepted and is there now(she started in July). She really likes it! They are very busy and she's learning a lot. It's 4 months orientation then 2 years committment.

Does anyone have any information on the pay rate for Cape Fear Valley new grads?

I just got confirmation of an interview on 11/05 for the maternal/child FCCU residency position! I'm so stoked/nervous/stoked/nervous. I will let you all know how it goes; it would be neat if we all ended up working together! FYI: I applied mid June, got an email with the packet info Oct 8th, returned the packet Oct 10th, and received an email about the interview this past Monday. I don't know anything about pay rate; as long as I get to start nursing and can afford to eat, I'm down!

That's awesome! I interviewed for the ER and Med Surg programs last week. I haven't heard back yet. Good luck!

I forgot the most important part, Congrats!!!!

Thanks! I hope you hear back soon! ;)

Anyone who interviewed know when offers will be made? The pay rate is around 21.00/hr, differentials 3.50 & 4.00 for evenings/nights. It sounds like it's a great place to work!

They told me they want to have decisions made by the end of the month for the ER program. The med surg program is still accepting applications but they said they'd like to make decisions soon as well.

I was just extended an offer for their Med Surg residency! I told them I will give them an answer once I hear from the ER because that's my too choice. Good luck everyone!
