I just applied to Cape Fear's program yesterday and received an application packet...working on that now. Deadline is Nov 15. Just wondering who else applied or if anyone has any information regarding the program from past cohorts. This would be a great place to share your experiences and to encourage one another during the application process. Gluck!
Just be yourself! It really wasn't bad. I just accepted a position in the Med Surg program. Good luck to everyone!
Congratulations, Clementine! I hope we get to work together. I am flying in tomorrow but I do not know where the interview is going to be. They did not email me any direction about the location. I hope they will email me tomorrow.
I agree with Clementine1, it was one of the nicest interviews I have done. They really just want to get a feel for the type of nurse/person you are and they want to find you the right fit as far as position goes; so I would prepare to have your reasons for wanting to work in the position you are interviewing for. Good Luck!
I accepted a surgical floor position (doesn't include the residency program and starts a lot sooner, but I really enjoyed the nurse manager and I think it will be great) so it seems we will be seeing each other around. We move in 2 weeks, yikes! I'm also excited and nervous. I recently read they have fire ants, brown recluse, and black widows in NC for those who are potentially moving from out of state... not too bad, I can handle that

I hate bugs! Haha we will be moving in January. I'm unsure how the med surg program actually works. I don't know if they assign you to a floor they need you on or Ill be rotating throughout the different units. I'll be starting Feb 10th.
Kuku- how'd today go!?
Clementine, it was relaxing atmosphere and I thought the questions were new graduate appropriate. I toured the hospital on my own and I really enjoyed the bright sunshine drive back to Charlotte. Well, I could live there. I forgot to ask the most crucial question when I will hear from them. I am really hoping that I get the offer.
