Cape Fear Valley Residency Feb 2014

Published

I just applied to Cape Fear's program yesterday and received an application packet...working on that now. Deadline is Nov 15. Just wondering who else applied or if anyone has any information regarding the program from past cohorts. This would be a great place to share your experiences and to encourage one another during the application process. Gluck!

I just moved to NC and applied for this last week. A recruiter emailed me the packet Friday afternoon so I completed it and sent it back that evening. I have yet to hear anything. Is anyone else still waiting to hear back? For those of you who have already been accepted, how long did it take for the recruiters to contact you?

I'm so sorry to hear that :( Did they give you any feedback, or was it a generic email?

It was over the phone and I did not get any feedback. She said they had so many applicants and it was very hard to makeup their minds.

I'm sorry Kuku! You flew all that way! I sympathize with you. Hoping that something comes along for you.

Has anyone else heard back yet?

I haven't heard anything since I turned in my application packet, so I'm thinking I won't hear back at all. I even emailed 2 weeks ago to confirm they had received everything, but no response. Should I call? I don't want to be pegged as annoying, but I'd like to know if this is something I should wait for or just move on.

Kellybecker, if you want answer from them, you should call them. I also did the work for application and I did not hear from them. When I called them, they scheduled an interview over the phone. I only had few days to buy my ticket and arrange the trip. As I arrived to the city, I called them again to find out the location of the interview (They have not emailed me the interview confirmation). I stayed late to fill out their paper work and I showed up to the interview. After my long trip, I still was not able to meet the department managers. They have not arrange the meeting with managers. Needless to say, I had to call them to find out if they made their decision. That being said, they answer their phone calls and they seem friendly over the phone. You can find out their numbers on their websites.

Thanks for the advice, kuku1981! I will call them right now!
